My guess is that people who are OK with gays are not being led by the Holy Spirit. I am not secure in anything, in and of myself. My strength comes from the Lord. My sexuality is not the issue. I will not give them any indication that their lifestyle is OK.

Slightly O/T, I do not want open gays in the military due to relationships being formed. I do not want women in combat situations due to the same reason. My brother, who is a CWO3, remembers the good old days when there were no fistfights over jealousy, he has stated our readiness to fight has been seriously compromised by this.

Libbies have no argument so they resort to the false insecurity ploy.

That is sad---you don't agree with Jesus not being in favor of Civil Unions? Hate to say it, but it is "Christians" such as MP who misrepresent what a Christian is. It is no wonder so many people have the wrong idea of what a true Christian is and believes!:BangHead:

So essentially, you are saying that people are born as a homosexual? I believe that person's circumstances in life can contribute to them choosing living that lifestyle. Ultimately, they are the ones who have to make that decision.

Are you saying that anyone who opposes homosexuality is a homophobe? Just because a person believes that it is an immoral lifestyle does that mean they are insecure?

I do not think I have said anything about anyone being born. How in the world do you come to that interpretation of what I said ... seeing as how I never mentioned birth.

Is this the type of interpretation ... or miss interpretation you bring to scripture when you read it?

I do not know about the senior center where you live, but the one here has a good exercise room .... and it is free.

Not at all-but all TRUE Christians believe that every word in the Bible is true. You want to try and justify your beliefs DESPITE what the Bible says.

And as you can plainly see from the poll results, I do believe all TRUE Christians have the same mind set------No civil unions and Jesus wouldn't approve.:jesus:

What have I tried to justify, since you make an accusation? And I have a news flash for you...YOUR interpretation of the Bible is what you are making the standard...not the Bible itself. Pathetic.

The problem is not the Bible, but people's interpretation of the Bible. We can agree that every wordis true but disagree on the meaning of many Biblical passages.

Well that is easy to come to when the Bible is just a book of words.

So on this particular issue------what exactly is the "misinterpretation" of the Bible passage?

Uh, your stance on this issue. The fact that you don't believe that Jesus would be against Civil Unions.
