I don't think I would actually call a lesbian a "dike" either, at least to their face.

So, we have this definition for the word dike.

Dike - an embankment for controlling or holding back the waters of the sea or a river

Since it's impossible for an embankment to curse, I assumed that you misspelled the word "dyke".

Perhaps you could clarify what you meant by the word "dike".

    Well here it goes....
Not all lesbians are dikes. Some are feminine. The term dike is known as a female with outward and inward masculine traits. I asked my neighbor just now, and a friend who called of what their definitions are.

Or at least around here, this is what I understand.

Growing up, my girlfriends would tell me I am feminine compared to their other boyfriends though I come off as masculine. My wife is similar, she is the opposite.
She is automatically feminine due to the outward package. Pretty and thin, but she is a bit rough like a guy. She's not as sensitive as most females, lots of male traits. More like a dike. We are outdoorsy people, so feminine doesn't work well.

    It works :)

Hope this explanation is satisfactory so maybe we can move on

All i can think of is that line from "Good Morning Vietnam, "What is a protective dike anyway? A large masculine woman who says 'Don't go in there!'"

Never saw it, but that portion sounds pretty funny. Robin Williams is hilarious
