Hi everyone. Am I allowed to post this in B.B.com? I hope so. If not, then please tell me.

I have a friend in Indy who has written a song, music and lyrics, about a town that grew up at the bottom of a mountain or hill.

My friend would like for TV [or some other format..my words for my friend] for he sees it as wholesome.

He is receiving negative comments from people who make decisions.

If not TV, then what organizations might he consider?

My friend is not a member of B.B.com but is definitely a Christian. We grew up in the same local Baptist church.

sorry for my multiple postings on this tread

this is what I should have written.

I suggested alternatives such as Hallmark or Tv movies or alternative
or independent movie productions or perhaps Public Broadcasting
System or PBS Other possibilities might be Canandian (spelling?)
television. Other possibilities might be "Focus on the Family" or
perhaps the Southern Baptist group. I do not know. Here in Indy we
have the film festival entitled "Heartland" (spelling). Other
possibilities might be an audio series or perhaps a book for children
    or teenagers (?).

He wrote me "Do you happen to know anyone who works for these people
that could get me an audience with the boss?"

Thanks for suggestions. I have run out of my own for him.

Has he tried Paxnet (which is for the most part, Christian)?

Take it from someone who knows. It is extremely difficult to get meetings with anyone to greenlight projects. For the most part it is about networking, because it is VERY, VERY rare to be able to speak with anyone remotely connected to the "boss". My first suggestion is for your friend to register his treatment with the screenwriters guild or something similar. My second suggestion would be to produce the pilot himself. There are many indie producers around who might be willing to help. I am assuming it would be fairly low budget, BUT if it is as strong as he believes, someone will want to pick it up. Screenplays pour into these companies and many will return unsolicited material without even opening it. An idea can only get you so far, be creative, and think outside the box.

Also isn't there some preachers that do movies? TD Jakes, John Hagee, Tommy Tenley(not sure if I got that name right but it was the movie about Esther)? Might check through "TBN address book" and look and see if you see any ministries that might be interested in this project. http://www.tbn.org/index.php/9/4.html
It accually sounds like an episode of "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" or like "Little House on the Prarie". I love good clean showes that you can accually watch, but here latley theres just not much of it. :flower:
Today I got lucky and I did see a movie on TBN while flipping through the channels and it was like a western type movie about a bunch of cowboys, a school teacher (married to one of the cowboys that owned the ranch) and some nice indians, and even a few bad guys.
