    14,000 special police + countless undercover units are on duty to protect what is called "Target: Bush" in the UK.

    If you were the President, wouldn't you keep a "low profile"? Business as usual seems to show great courage . . but also wonderful opportunity.

    Thoughts?

    Apparently the security was loose! A tabloid reporter got hired as household staff at the Queen's digs.

    From what I have seen he is very much "out of sight" while here is there. The ultra liberal Irish media are being hyper critical of him, but they seem to be using wisdom in that regard. There was no open ride in the Royal carriage, etc. There are no public appearances scheduled as well.

    Of course you as a British tax payer are. I have full faith in British security. I am stunned at the US criticism over the minor security breach. We (even though I am not there) Americans have little room to talk when it comes to security. I fully appreciate the immensity of the task of protecting a president in these days.

    "Business as usual"? Well, what else can you do but make your peace with the Lord and live the day?

    Last time I saw Bush on tv, he did look noticibly older. The stress has got to be very high, and not just from death threats to one's self, but the destruction of the entire country and, possibly, world. :(

    I thought he looks a lot more "presidential". He sure had to grow up in a hurry after 9.11.
