As a Tea Party supporter, I would encourage them to support any person, irregardless of their party affiliation.

IMHO, this would make the Tea Party Movement a true "grass-roots-group" formed to serve as the moral voice of Americans, endorsing the very best candidates regardless of party affiliation. Their "stamp-of-approval" could eventually morph into making them a national clearinghouse movement with the sole/soul purpose of helping Americans know which candidate going to Washington, has the best interests of their constituents in mind.

If the Tea Party Movement does not intend to personally enter into politics [and that is their stated goal right now], than it should use its presence and growing power and influence toward "thoroughly vetting" the candidates (irregardless of their party affiliation) who are committed to the principles. and values, beliefs, of the Tea Party Movement.

After all, isn't this the American way? Since we currently have at least a two party [or, more] system, who's to say that this "grass-roots-group" couldn't support the Independents, Democrats, and Republican's, as long as those candidates hold to the stated core values of the movement.

    So... What do you think?

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul
