What did you do today? What are you going to do today?

Please share your days with us. Some of you homeschool, have small children, work outside the home. It would be fun to pretend that we can see those precious children and watch them grow.

Just remember this is an open forum.

Today was very pleasant for me except that my husband was not feeling well, but he is much better, but I love having him home. I would like for him to retire, but he needs to keep busy.

A friend usually comes to oil paint with me on Tuesday, but she has a bad cold so I think I will run some errands tomorrow.

I need to pick up some cards for the Widows Gala next week and take my daughter in law her birthday present. She will be here Thursday, I may give it to her then.

Tuesday evening my husband and I eat at the Pizza Place.

What are you going to do today?

Monday was my granddaughter's birthday, and I
got to spend some time with her and the others in
her family. Usually, I have a class (Separation of
Synagogue and Church) on that evening, but it
was cancelled for Thanksgiving week. Other than
that, I usually spend Mondays studying and
    cleaning.

This morning, I went to my new chiropractor, and
she was alarmed enough that she had me return
again at 6:15 p.m. I will be going back at 9 a.m. on
Tuesday, with the hope that I will be ready for all
the company coming on Wednesday, when I plan
    to serve Thanksgiving dinner.

Rather than a Thanksgiving day, we plan on having
    Thanksgiving weekend, starting Wednesday and
ending on Saturday. This will be a new way for
us to celebrate, but it fits better with all the varying
    schedules.

Normally, on Tuesday, I take care of my youngest
grandson while my daughter has a day of rest.
:-D We play and working on learning numbers,
    the alphabet, and other things.

Today (the Tuesday before Thaksgiving), I'm going to tie up my loose ends at work so I can leave early. I'm spending the evening with my lady love, who will be travelling out of state to visit family on Wednesday. This will be the first time since dating that we'll be apart for more than 5 days :( . I miss her already. However, on Wednesday evening, I will be picking up my children, who will be spending Thanksgiving day with me. [IMG]

Tues., which is tomorrow for me, I get to do housework! yay!! Just kidding about being thrilled! I dropped off my husband's desert pants today and they will be ready for pick up...he goes to Iraq for a year starting in Jan. I have my last night of study at my church for our 40 Days of Purpose group. That book turned out to be a great learning tool for me as a newer Christian. We are planning to reread it starting in Jan., but instead of 7 lessons per week we are going to do 40 weeks! That will allow us to talk more in depth about the topics. Anyway...enough about my day..anyone else?? [IMG]

    Todays' plans are:

Homeschool for most of the morning(we are doing a much lighter schedule this week and off on Thursday and Friday)

Prepare lunch for the children...I usually cook a hot lunch for them.

The interior decorator is coming to add a few last minutes things from some work they did a few weeks ago. This is a long processs,we are not finished yet,but are at least getting in that direction. I need to be home for when they come.

After that,I will run a few errands, pick up some pictures of the baby, pick up some medicine at the pharmacy, take my middle daughter to basketball practice, and my oldest to ballet.

I'm hoping to have a short rest time in the afternoon while baby is napping to gear up for the activities later today. The big girls read, the baby sleeps, and I try to read or watch Fox news as down time.

    It will be great day!

Tomorrow will be busy getting the house ready for Thanksgiving and preparing some of the make ahead things.

    This is fun!

My day just changed because my husband is home again today. I love for him to stay home, but he has that "upper respiratory gook". His last remark before going back to bed was, "It's terrible to waste sick days on being sick ;) "

I'm beginning to think he gets too excited about the holidays. He was sick on his birthday. :(

I do need to go to the grocery store...of course, I forgot a few items.

Abiyah What fun to take part in grandchildren's birthday parties. And what a wonderful grandmother you are to take your grandson to give your daughter some free time. How old is he?

You will have a wonderful time with your children and your lady love will be back in no time. Have fun tonight.

Molly Are you sure you can accomplish all that today?

I have a beautiful picture in my mind of your lovely family and the activities you have planned.

What kind of decorating are you doing? Inspire us. I am at a standstill in my new home because I don't want to have clutter. I had clutter in my old house. Too many pictures on the walls. Too many nicknacks (sp) around to catch dust.

Let's hear some more plans... [IMG] [IMG]

Moira3 Keep telling us about how wonderful it is in Hawaii...warm sea breezes.

I would like to know more about your bible study. Maybe you can share some with us.

I hope you have some special time with your husband before he has to leave in January. Tell him how much we appreciate him. [IMG]

I got a very early start today so I've gotten a bit done before time to leave for work!

Jim will home school Nick today and tomorrow and then we also won't have school Thursday or Friday. Saturday is my last day at the temporary job.

My day is pretty boring. Laundry, making beds, off to work. Sit and answer the phone or chat on bb.com until about 1:30. Hubby brings Nick up to me then and we play games with his 'laptop' learning computer, find countries and learn facts with his Quantum Leap Globe (highly recommend this as a Christmas gift!) and play Clue or a small baseball card game we have. Sometimes he does some learning games on the computer too. Pretty quiet afternoon tho.... and at 6:30 I'll finally get that much needed haircut!

Remember to pray for Debby today. She has her biopsy!

Diane Your day doesn't sound boring, but busy. Fun to play games with the little ones and is a great teaching tool. Always opportunities to teach while playing without them even knowing it.

Praying for Debbie and others who need God's comforting care.

Well, let's see. Right now I'm waiting for Rotorooter to come clear tree roots out of the sewer line.
    Some house cleaning, bill-paying.

Then to the copy place to copy some documents.
Then to the post office to mail said documents.
Then to store to buy new lamp to replace broken one.
Working on college applications for one child, helping other with math.

Laundry, dinner cooking, dishes, feed dog, hang a couple of pictures.
    Some time reading.

To relative's house later on, maybe, to work on computer.
This computer is driving me nuts.
Have had to use it for last 8 days instead of normal one. Am getting completely new one in month. But meanwhile, this one will not let me log on to BB other than per individual post. And cannot enter women's private forum, start new thread, look at pictures. Which is odd, because some web sites I go to, there is still no problem, and there is with others.
Anyway, CJ, this is why I did not respond to you yet.

Karen Your day sounds like a typical day in life.

It seems we always plant trees where they can find those sewer lines.

I can't see the pictures on the BB Album because of our firewall and I am afraid to disable it because we are constanting attacked by something.

Computers are wonderful and frustrating. Yesterday, I was looking for clipart on my other computer because it has the best printer. I could have drawn and painted what I wanted in the time I spent on the computer. Never did find exactly what I wanted. I need a new printer for this computer. It will not print color. It is supposed to, but it never has.

It is great to hear from you.

I worked about 5.5 hours this morning. Usually work about 4 hours a day but boss called yesterday and asked if I could put in a little extra time today. Came home to take care of some household business, took a short nap, then went to a job interview. May have to get a new job around the first of the year so getting a head start looking. Stopped at Goodwill and bought a couple sweaters (I am always so cold in the winter). Went grocery shopping (it was busy). Came home, ate Schwans frozen pizza for dinner, have to go pick up my daughter at school in a couple minutes. Then I will come home and clean up the house, wash dishes, do some laundry and make a peanut butter iceberg pie (with homemade vanilla icecream) and get it in the freezer for Thanksgiving Dinner (I bought a case of peanut butter about a month ago and now I have to find ways to use it up). Maybe watch a little TV and go to bed.

Goodness, Ralb you have been busy today. Ummm that pie sounds good. It is a good thing we can't gain weight just reading about all this good food that everyone is preparing.

I had to go to the grocery store again. You would think that when we make a list we would get all that we need. I am always forgetting something. Our grocery store needed traffic cops at every aisle, but most people turned them into four way stops. :D

Tomorrow I am going to be sure that every thing is ready to cook. I will bake my pies and cakes.
Cook my turkey and dressing and other stuff early Thursday morning. Isn't this fun?

This is a great thread, Betty!!

Today I worked. Am working on a special "project" for my pastor and made GREAT progress since a lot of people are off this week. Amazing how much you can get done when nobody's there!! :D

Tonight, I made a cake for dinner on Thursday, and am "picking up" around here. My brother and sil are coming over for dinner, so I figured the place needs to look nice!! [IMG]

Need to get my good china, silver and crystal out and will do that shortly. Will need to be washed since it stays "put away" all year!! Am also going to wrap some gifts for Christmas for the girls at work. I do all kinds of "little stuff" as far ahead of time as possible so I won't get stressed out the closer it gets to Christmas!!

Today is going to be a busy day for most of us.

First, I must wash my hair because I am too lazy, oops busy, to go to the beauty shop.

Next, I'm baking pies and then I will do whatever housecleaning needs to be done.

Then I will set the table for the big dinner tomorrow.

Yesterday, I received my new paint brushes, paint and canvases. I'm going to put old brushes in a box for grandchildren to use.
