No. It isn't all that matters. If you love Jesus, you would obey his Word. From what I have seen of your church's website, they teach acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle, which is an abomination to God, and goes against his Word.

Now I am concerned. Are you saying bombs dropped from planes don't remove the heads from people as innocent as Berg? Is it the Allah part you find disturbing?

I'm sure you are closer to Jesus than I am, but I think Jesus would expect us to love all human beings inspite of their short comings.

Joe, I just saw this.....sounds very hateful and not very Christian like..."mental disorder"? I know Jesus would say this to a Homosexual, but why would anyone say this to me? I was just asking questions... :(

Terrorists do what they do because they can - be it in 1979 or 2005.

The hostage takers did what they did because we allowed Pavlavi aid and care when he was suffering of cancer. They had no compassion for this man, they wanted him dead - he was a threat to their revolution. So they picked the most convenient target.

There is a list of hostages on the internet with their ages, hometowns, and their job classifications. They were, collectively, a symbol of US power, which is later described as the "great satan".

Since I do not know any of them personally it would be hard to comment on their "goodness". Your implications would indicate you know zero about it, because if the CIA was as almighty and powerful as you like to give them credit for, then why stay in captivity for 444 days?

As for the other CIA comments, it would seem youve dove head first into a nice little conspiracy theory. CIA agents arent free to do their own bidding and to imply that pretty much makes me categorize someone making that statement into the same place I put the French guy with the book on how a plane could have never fit into the Pentagon because the Pentagon is too small. Right. Tin foil hat anyone?

The photo of the detainee with panties on his head should have never happened. It was wrong then and wrong now. As a rule, we do not treat people this way. But since you want to be one of the Romans that bash Rome, let me correct you.

My ability to do my job does not in any way shape or form describe any perverse pleasure you imply. I have done this job for years, and only in the last four have I had to take on this responsibility with these people who would rather slit our throats than anything else in this world. They hate America and all it stands for - which includes the freedom of allowing a woman to wear what she likes, uncover her face, and speak as she will. They want to kill YOU and ME for that.

So when I do my job, it must be extremely harsh on their psyches to submit to my escorting them to medical and delivering their meals.

Personally, I could care less about these 'innocent civilians'.

They cant and wont survive in the world we live in. They will implode and they will take whomever they can with them. I struggle daily in deep prayer trying to maintain my Christian love for them...even though they would kill me on the spot.

You should be ashamed of your attitude and you get zero points for style.

If you are just asking questions objectively from a point of view which you seemingly don't agree with (that was the premise of this thread, right?), then what I said doesn't apply to you. If someone believes that the US Military is the moral equivalence of an Al Quaeda terrorist, then they are mentally deranged and have a mental disorder. The evidence shows otherwise, and yet they hold on to their paranoid hatred. They condemn in the harshest manner what amounted to a college prank at Abu Graib, but don't lose too much sleep over Nicholas Berg being beheaded with a saw while he was still alive. They argue that Iraq has nothing to do with the war on terror when the evidence shows otherwise. They try to paint the US military as terrorists, when they are, in fact liberators. They continue the brainless mantra that Iraqis and Muslims cannot abide with democracy, when the evidence of 8 million Iraqis show otherwise. It sounds to me as if they are delusional, paranoid, and have a mental disorder.

They would have remained captive like prisoners in jail here in the USA even if Jimmy Carter tried to set them free? Just a guess.
I don't remember saying almighty and powerful?

"Bash'? If you have a valid point, there is no need to attack the questioner.

Don't recall over saying that you did. :(

So all this mayhem is because of women? I should have known.

LOL come on if that doesn't sound like "perverse pleasure" what does lol

The nerve of them not to accept our world.
Coming from a good Christian such as yourself, I will consider your advice.

Sure. I will pray for you as I go to bed tonight. Now, do you believe there is no difference between the US military and Al Quaeda Terrorists? Also, do you think a person can be a Christian and still hold on to a homosexual lifestyle? A yes or no will do. Thanks.

</font>[/QUOTE]I thought this thread wasn't about you and what you believed. Weren't you trying to get some good answers for your friends who keep asking all these difficult questions that you can't answer? Or, did you just make that up, and you really do believe that the US military is no better than a terrorist? Is that really what you believe? Why don't you quit playing games here and just state clearly what you believe and let's debate it? While you are at it, what do you believe about homosexuality? Is it an abomination to God? Or, is it just an alternative lifestyle that should be accepted and affirmed by the Church as your church believes?

#1 Yes. One is more committed than the other.
    #2 No. Not your Christianity.
I gave you a yes and a no, I hope that will do.

For an interesting slant on this subject do a search on the Kashmiri war in the disputed territoy of Kashmir--that disputed territory that Pakistan and India have already fought three wars over, and the U.N., doesn't seem to want to intervene inspite of the genocide that goes on.

Be sure to read both sides of the story. Look at newspaper articles from Pakistan, and then from India.
The military from Pakistan are the freedom fighters, and consequently the Indian army are the terrorists. That is Pakistan's view.

The military from Pakistan are the terrorists, and thus the Indian army are the freedom fighters. That is Inida's view.
India wants to hang on to that land no matter what the cost.

The land is predominately Muslim, doesn't want rule from India, and would either want complete independece as a Muslim nation in itself, or the option of joining with Pakistan. Both of these are rejected by India and so the fighting continues, as it has ever since 1947.
