    It's so easy to talk....
    Until your bluff is called.
Looks like he couldn't "walk the talk".

This isn't the first time something like this has happened. There used to be a columnist in Washington DC named Carl Rowan, who for years wrote columns in favor of greater gun control. He helped to get the gun ban passed in DC. A few years after the gun ban went into effect, someone trespassed on his property, and - you guessed it - Rowan got out the gun he secretly owned in direct violation of the gun ban, and shot the guy. Also, for all those years when the Democrats controlled the Congress prior to 1995, it was routine for them to exempt Congress from the laws they passed for the rest of us. And of course we now have the spectacle of people who travel around the world in their private jets telling the rest of us that we should walk and ride busses instead of using cars. Liberals seem to think that the laws and guidelines they want the 'unwashed masses' to live under shouldn't be applied to them. Then they wonder why 'common folks' regard them as elitist snobs.

Read "The Vision of the Annointed" by Thomas Sowell for greater perspective. Once you do it will not be too difficult to see the "Agenda" unfolding before your eyes on a daily basis.

Don't forget the very liberal, anti-gun Yale professor who shot a trespasser. He had some 'splainin' to do to his friends about even owning the gun, but according to press statements, he's rethinking his anti-gun position.

Where was this "change of heart"? What was his "bluff"? Y'all are just happy to be hating. He opposed the use of DEADLY force. And he shot the intruder in the LEG. In other words, he did exactly what he supports other people doing. Sorry.

Ahhh, yes "Hate" a libs favorite pejorative. This guys loses either way. He used deadly for to stop a copper thief. The article says he opposed "a bill giving Texans stronger right to defend themselves with deadly force ". He is a walking hypocrit.

After 15 posts (give or take few because of our unique numbering system), you know this group well enough to make this statement? I'm impressed.

I love being from Texas. Colorful stories and history. Temps are much nicer in NC however ;)

Of course there are a few colorful characters here too. . .

Here's the wikipedia definition of DEADLY force.

Deadly force is a level of force which is inherently likely to cause death or great bodily injury. Firearms, bladed weapons, explosives, and vehicles are among those weapons the use of which is considered deadly force.

Shooting someone in the leg is still deadly force.

Ah, yes, if I ever get tired of the pressure of living in the largest state in the USA, I'll move to #2 Texas. Mostly because, like Alaska, they still believe in the good things there, such as defending yourself and your family.

Sorry, "hating" is just slang, not a liberal insult. He opposed a bill given Texans a stronger right to defend themselves with deadly force, which means that such a right must already exist in some form. The representative opposed a bill that re-defined the concept of the immediate necessity of force to a ridiculously low level and then responded in a manner which was already legal prior to the amendment which he opposed. How exactly does that make him a hypocrite?

    Why thank you.

    Thank you. I stand corrected.

    SECOND AMMENDMENT
    THE ORIGINAL HOMELAND SECURITY

Thats what I'm talking about. Why should we be afraid if they come over here? Oh, because were being stripped of our rights to defend ourselves.
