The 400 ....

.... "Silent Years"

As a history buff, I've been fascinated about Middle Eastern history during the so-called "Inter-Testamental Period" (c. 400 B.C. - c. A.D. 1).

That being said, I was wondering if any of you folks out there in BB Land can recommend any good available books that cover this specific historical era.

So far, all I've ever seen are some brief summaries in some "Study Bibles." None that I've seen provide that much in-depth and/or documentation of this period that provides much information about things you read in the Gospels.

A plus would be if your recommendations would include any works that have good graphics to accompany the text.

Any help you can provide would certainly be appreciated.
