But we do have a clear answer on who exactly "trash class American leaches" are, courtesy of billwald. So instead of being offended at an analogy using "coded" (your term) language, could you muster up some outrage for literal, forthright prose?

ETA: I'm aware that billwald didn't say all white people are X, but bear in mind you're offended at a story about THE and and THE grasshopper. If comments about individuals in the singular strike you as stereotypes, I can't fathom the mushroom cloud that will emanate when you see comments about pluralities.

Sorry, Eric. You have been so indoctrinated with the "Government is the answer" lie, that I do not believe that there is any argument that will lead you to the truth, which I and many others have tried to share with you in this thread.

    End of conversation...:wavey:

Isn't that just amazing! How can a quarter of one type grasshopper be living off the work of the ants? Why is that so? Surely we must find some way to alter those facts so it doesn't offend anyone!

It serves well the purpose of control that socialism and despots determine the progressive removal of wealth and property from those in possesion of both or either by 'redistribution schemes' and thievery until they succeed in removing the 'middle class' from society and all of society is reduced to lords and their government servants and serfs.

How could you be this far off?

The removal of the middle class is because the wealthy control the system and acquire for themselves more and more. For instance, the take the manufacturing jobs to Mexico and China, and the American skilled working class disappears. The corporate owners control the politicians and bring about more and more corporate welfare, keep more of the profit and stifle the working class wages until only the wealthy and the poor are left. Don't you understand?

If you really believe what you just wrote.......

.......research, as I have, who runs these corporations and has control of stock and banking. Find out what organizations they belong to.... who they give money to...... political, endowments, sponsorship. Don't be misled by minor inconsistencies..... like they give x amount to party A and 3x amount to party B. It is a ruse designed to keep footholes of control and involvement in both while making it appear they are balanced and impartial:

The result, however, is they are securing their position in the overall plan of consolidation of government and wealth at the top and are proving to most of those who we elect
(state 'grooming' in government and national office)
that those who run and win in office
    (backed overwhelmingly by them)
don't depend on OUR money to run their campaigns, and don't depend on OUR advice concerning legislation, and can count that we will vote, pretty much along party lines
(voter registration has the numbers..... the percentage of party voters is more dependant upon motivation to vote and intensity of issues rather than a real distrubance in party loyalty).

    ===============
The average person believes that the welfare to the poor is what is breaking us. The cost of administration of these programs is a large expense often overlooked. (If those same funds were being administer by a charity, the efficiencies would be increased and the margins for administration would be more confined... or people wouldn't give). And some believe that just because people have wealth it must be because of some vice or failure of virtue (like lacking in benevolence).

The real problem is not in the society which is familiar to us and visible in our communities.... even in the variances between the 'rich' and the 'poor' communities. The real problem is not the person who owns stock or mutual funds or has savings, or small owners of business or the local bankers.

The real problem is in the groups of people at the top like the Bill Gates, the Rockefellers, the George Soroses, the Kisengers, the Bildebergers, the Crown, the Rothschilds.......etc. those who have an agenda of globalism and control as the goal for them and their confederates. These folks don't care about poverty, the poor, the worker, money, human life, rights, etc. They have all the money they need.... in fact, they leverage their control and use to manipulate markets in their favor, economies to bring increased dependance and live off usuary. Talk about people 'who don't work'.

Poverty is their enemy .......because it makes people restless and less predictable unless it is controled and can be manipulated: Actually, many of these elitist do not value human life....... though it may be difficult to prove as they make a production of the 'good' they do......and these reports make big news..... But what isn't told is how much control they maintain; how little help is focused on real need which would respond to help, and how their programs often support their own industry.

These are the biggest supporters of population control. While it may be difficult to find quotes which can directly link them to a preference for genocide..... yet by reading carefully the context of their actions and applause they give to others ..... some of whom we would think should be our enemies ........and their support of wars against those countries and governments who failed to conform to their plans.......

These are the true grasshoppers....... but, unlike the one in the story.....they intend to go on living and passing on their philosophy of one world control to future generations who's education and direction they help to fund.... until it is realized. The Georgia Guidestones sets up their plan and philosophy in plain sight for all to see. The Capital of our own nation contains occultic symbolism in design, in artifacts, in the plan of the city.......of the real powers behind their beliefs which is anything but belief in Jehovah God.

They manufacture chaos and take advantage of natural disasters: They create wars by deception and use disasters as their 'photo opt' to appear virtuous and clean of conscience. They control media through Turners, Murdocks, et al. These are the true grasshoppers and they don't want to destroy all the ants............ just enough to reduce the number to a manageble level where they can count on control and prevention of insurrection........ and the purge off 'worthless' eaters.

If that were true, then the states in which government exerts the most control would be doing the best.

Instead, the opposite is true. Been to Michigan lately? Just yesterday, I heard that the last auto plant in California is shutting down.

Sorry, but empirical evidence is on my side: The nanny state, entitlement explosion, and government interference is ruining our country.

Those aren't actual facts; those are numbers, which can be skewed, spun and misinterpreted. Like Barna polls that show "most" "evangelicals" don't know the Ten Commandments, or stuff like that. What they're counting as "evangelicals" included large numers of nominals who nod "yes" to "evangelical" label, but are not really believers at all. But numbers are produced, which do not reflect this reality, and then arguments are made from it as if it was concrete fact. Then, you have the whole Bell Curve theory, which used the same tactic. But it ignored the inferiority of education in the inner city. So I don't see a quarter of the people around me on welfare. And those I used to see over a decade ago were eventually forced to work. So sorry; I don't trust these numbers you pull up. Hence, what billwald said, which was that a majority [on welfare] are white. (Which we can see has suddenly raised some ire, and now I'm supposed to go after him to be fair. I don't condone use of the word "trash", but the claim itself looks like a balance to your "dark grasshoppers--who are going to pull the nation, and the world down" claim to me). And I too had always heard that these figures skipped over a large number of them, such as in the Appalachians.
You have never seen me argue that the government was the solution. You assume that, because like others, the solution is either all your way, or you're on the "enemies'" side. I have been saying (especially in bollwald's other thread we have been debating in) that neither way is working, and I don't have a solution, but I believe we are not going to get anywhere when a whole bunch of people see one side as so faultless, and blame the other side for all the problems, which is just not accurate.

That's an interesting spin on the situation, and it is more along with what I believe. In fact, it is basically the premise of billwald's original post in the "Every economic/political system" thread, (which was derailed into a "be thankful for God's providence in America's founding or you're an enemy" dispute).

I have never given government (of either party) a pass. And all I have opposed here is the opposite, of giving business a pass, as if those names you mentioned are all on the side of America and it's founders and ideals, as "productive ants" and victims of big bad government and these lazy [lowerclass] "grasshoppers" who are getting everything. Those people could probably care less about this country. If it falls; watch them all flee to Dubai, or some other up and coming place like that.

As I have always said, it is the powerful in general, which is both business and government together, pulling the strings. So all the government evils being complained about (globalism, control, etc) are apart of it, and no, I do not condone them. They put themselves in a position, such as the banks and auto, where even if they failed, they would have to be bailed out, to keep the economy from crashing further. That is the philosophy of that world, as you can read in How To Win Friends and Influence People. Make them depend on you, and they are at your mercy. And the government is in their pocket. (Hence, definitely no solution anyway). The president is just a figurehead; hence, whether Democratic Obama or Republican Bush, there is ultimately little difference, as people have complained; beyond a superficial left/right issue focus.

I agree. The rich take advantage of the poor, generally speaking.

Michigan is a bad example. The other countries, like Japan, have an unfair advantage. Their government restricts our cars being sold there, while our government does not do the same to their cars.

What countries would be on the list of those with a large strong middle class?

    Just for comparison purposes.

    See http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-welfareblack.htm

To make a long story short, at least in Seattle, prior to 1964 all black people were "redlined" into the Central District which had the same cross section of life styles and occupations as white Seattle but at a lower economic level. After 1964 the professional black people, doctors, Boeing engineers, teachers . . . moved out of the CD and across Lake Washington to Bellevue and Redmond.

The ensuing real estate vacancies were filled by white hippies and dopers. In other words, the white trash and black trash melded into one group. In Seattle, half the people who claim to be black can't be identified by skin color but their social class becomes obvious when they speak.

The difference between theoretically civilized white people and theoretically civilized black people is that we theoretically civilized white people simply ignore our white trash sub culture except when it is economically expedient to employ their labor. Theoretically civilized black people, on the other hand, make excuses for their black trash sub culture . . . and their rebellious children . . . and blame their problems on white people.

Two evidences of my hypothesis - "white flight" and the statistic that black kids with parents on the high side of the economic curve do as poorly in school as their welfare class class mates.

Nope! They're real statistics collected by our government. They tell us that a much greater proportion of "blacks" and "Hispanics" receive welfare benefits than do "whites". We can argue about why that's the case but it is true!

Is such a "smart elect" comment all you have to say to the facts?

Stick a cork in it, EricB! The statistics show the higher proportions of certain groups receiving welfare. That's all! There's no broader implication of believing or not believing the "government" which itself is covers a very wide range of entities and situations.

Hispanic is not a race; it's an ethnicity. Being white and Hispanic aren't mutually exclusive.

Yes, we all know that, but that's how the data is presented in the statistics. It separates out into groups based on race and ethnicity. The data doesn't say what the proportions of race are within the Hispanic group. It could be further argued that there is only one race - the human race - and every other division is, in fact, one of ethnicity.
