I asked earlier why a nonresponse to a letter/email indicates arrogance? Will you answer this at the least?

I can see now that a response is unlikely. Ironic.

 

I've done this a few times and never got the first response. Dr. Michael Brown was one. Sometimes between calls I listen to the program and call in once in a while. But he never gives an opposing view a chance, he talks over you and then hangs you up so you can't respond.

And I'm not saying he is a false teacher, just confused a little on certain subjects.

I have found that Pastors seldom like to talk with people beyond a certain point, because some of them, I feel, feel like they're being challenged. If you can open up dialogue, I would probably recommend faith specific questions. Instead of challenging questions, perhaps pose them in a manner that shows you are curious about why their faith is different than what might be considered orthodox. Most will probably invest some time in order to make a convert.

When I read the OP I saw the arrogance suggested in the Emergent Church Pastor:

We could also impose arrogance in non-response itself.

I hate to say it, but I have known Pastors that take an arrogant attitude towards certain types. One Pastor I know is this way towards atheists, and has all but written them off and deemed it unnecessary to even try to speak with them. Myself, I just don't understand that, as I want to talk to anybody I can.

And for the second time, If churches that ignore your letters are arrogant, should we also consider you to be the same because you ignore those you disagree with?

 

Well, I do see ignore as a bit cowardly, but it was just a suggestion and assuming arrogance on his part without actually knowing is also suggestive.

Well, I will say that this member seems to be a favorite target of several of the other members.
