What of the love, will, nature, and attributes of God and his reason for creating, sustaining, and saving mankind? Did he do it because he was lonely and needed companionship? Why did God create the world and man?

    What does Mac say?

I was made to love you
I was made just for you, made to adore you
I was made to love and be loved by you
You were here before me, you were waiting on me
And you said you'd keep me, never would you leave me
I was made to love and be loved by you

    Toby Mac that is....

Love it. Both your little dig about Mac, and also love that song.

    Evan, ask yourself:

    WWJMAS? WWRCS?

I don't know who Mac is but your quote, Revelation 4:11, tells all we need to know and all we will know in this life.

And God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The world was created for Christ, and Who is Christ but the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The world was created for the Passion.

The Fall was part of the Plan.

I'm so glad God doesn't think like I do. If I had the power to create a being so I could love them, for my pleasure and glory and I knew before I breathed life into my creature that they would reject me; that their rejection would cost me my only beloved and begotten Son. If I knew in advance the rotting foul shame heaped on the shoulders of my Son because of my creatures...

It the most literal sense they would just have to go to hell. Even as a recipient of Grace I still stand amazed by it.

Aaron, I'm sorry we missed wrangling about deer hunting this year but you're on to something here. I don't think we can say there was just a single reason why God created us. I'm thinking about all the verses cited so far and the picture is clear. Everything is connected, clear and concise from Genesis to Revelation bound together by a blood-red cord of continuity. God calls that cord Son and we call Him Savior.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
    Luke 19:10 KJV

So there would be someone to argue about His nature on Baptist Board.

The scriptures express the "evolution" of His plan and purposes.

I am sensing the Dopeler effect, funny how it seems to come out of nowhere when you retort.
