    I'll take a mountain lion over the spiders and bugs I deal with in Arizona any day. Your excuse still holds no water as there are plenty of areas to walk for FREE that mountain lions aren't going to visit.

    Yes. If I can find $40 iPhones as replacements then I wouldn't mind. But there is no need to pay more than needed for a product that would be no more productive.

    We aren't talking needs, remember. (And nothing's free :) ).

    I like not having the wires (I'm too tall and jerk them out of my ears at every turn). I was wondering because I do have the Samsung Iconx which work great on my Samsung Galaxy S7 (Android) to listen to my PODCASTS .

    So my iPhone works fine for podcasts. No need for a $80 pair of headphones. I have spent enough money.

    Yep - there is no need for a smartphone at all. But I have it (got it from my daughter) and so I use it. It costs me $20 a month on Cricket service.

    The problem is that the OP has tens of thousands of dollars of debt and he has no plans to repay the debt except paying the minimum payment. Apparently he doesn't make enough money to pay down his debt but he has enough to buy a $500 toy.
