Thank you for sharing that website. The Confederate exiles in Brazil, as well as the country itself, have long been a topic of interest to me. It seems they have a certain proclivity to welcome defeated foreigners, as witnessed by the Confederate colonies as well as the Nazi fugitives of the 20th Century.

Very interesting! I saw a documentary on TV about this, and the people in Brazil still have southern accents! That was the strangest part of it all.

It's been a while since I saw it, maybe a year or so. It was probably on PBS.

The CSA is alive and well in the CSA same as the Califate is alive and well in the Califate. Americans should have shorter memories than Arabs?

Think "tea party" has a better ring than The John Birch Society, Moral Majority, Promise Keepers . . . ?

It has been a long time since a reform movement has changed anything. Christians think they can improve morals by passing laws. This has never worked.

It appears that the main focus of the TEA (Taxed Enought Already) is to cut spending and lower taxes.

The choices are taxes, inflation, or WW3.
