Aaron, we were sponsors in CCF for many years. Two things stopped us.

    1. They sponsor both birth control AND abortion in third world countries

    2. We met one of our sponsored daughters after she had grown up. She came to America to find us. Yes, she was Christian and yes she very much appreciated what we had done. But she mentioned that her letters were demanded from her as well as some of the contents! There were some very disturbing things she had to tell us about what was required of the children in regard to what they were allowed to write to us. I would have preferred they allowed the children simple honesty.

At any rate, our dollars are now spent closer to home where we can see what is happening for ourselves.

I don't wish to belittle Helen's post (as it has merit). I've researched them in detail. They're completely above board and a worthy organization.

Thank you all for your replies. I had read a lot about the Christian Children's Fund, but saw nothing about whether the Children are instructed in the Gospel.

Helen's post confirmed my feelings. I will not be sponsoring any children through this charity.

Does anyone know of a charity like it, that is a truly Christian charity for children?

I sponsored 10 children through CCF a few years ago when was in position to do so. It was incredible getting letters back saying what the bit I sent over could buy and do for them in their countries.

If they support abortion, I'm done with them. Can you provide evidence of this?
