The Christian Singles Ad annoys me

I agree. Christian and sexy in the sense that is being used just don't seem to go together.

 

Dollars can buy anything, even space on a christian website nowadays.

 

I reported that ad to the webmaster (andrewt) about a week ago. Hopefully, he will stop taking their money so we don't have to read the ad any longer.

 

Gimme a break!

I don't believe this ad, any more than the ones for, say, "Andersonville Seminary" or "Huckabee for President" "do" anything unless you 'click' on them.

Personally, I found the ad so "offensive" that I didn't know it even existed, until this thread appeared.

And even then, I had to 'hunt' for it.

And I am on the BB for a couple of hours, each and every day, at a minimum, lately.

Not once has that ad 'overwhelmed' my computer, and just 'appeared'.

The one that I saw (I did not have to click on it) pictured a "Baptist Single" woman wearing a very inappropriate bikini in a sexually oriented pose. It should not be on this board. The Baptist women I know do not wear bikinis, let alone pose like that for an ad...

 

It annoys me too. Those two words do not go together.
Has anyone ever been on a so-called Christian dating site?

It looks just like a non-Christians site, with as much divorce and single parents, and so on.
I see no difference, just in the name. The attitudes are the same.

I agree with Ed. I didn't know the ad existed until this post. I don't get into singles' Web sites since I've only had bad experiences with those in the past.

 

The complaint is not about married couples who still think of one another as "sexy", but of an allegedly "Christian" singles' Web site using the word "sexy" in their ad. I agree that that is not appropriate for a Christian Web site.

I come to the BB because, hopefully, my eyes will not be assailed and offended by false advertisings and advertisings loaded with sexual insinuations and advertisings that are stupid.

Yes, those kinds of advertising are an affront to one's sense of decency already heavily under attack and censure from unchristian websites and other forms of media such as tv.

Just five minutes ago, I saw another type of ad:

MEET HOMOSEXUAL ARMY MEN !!!

I sincerely wish Google would provide webmasters and administrators some form of filter they can use.
