Wow, I leave for a couple days and you decide to move to a new coffee shop. Glad to see blackbird is back posting a little more often.

We didn't go to the Dogwood Festival this year. My wife got up early Saturday to go to the Race for the Cure in Fayetteville, AR and Sunday morning she had to go in to the clinic early in the morning to help one of the doctors with a procedure. The nurses at the clinic take turns being on call, usually one night a week and one weekend a month. This was her weekend. She was too tired to go to the festival, so we decided to save our energy (and money) for next weekend when we go to Branson, MO with some friends.

I enjoyed the Coffee Shop Poll, Sherrie. I think I got all of them right. I was only unsure on one of them. I can't remember which one.

    [IMG] That may be
hard to do. Sister Sherrie is in the Sales
Department, not the Delivery Department [IMG]
However, i have a friend in Delivery.

Please Sir, can you arrange five straight
non-rainy days for The Unknown Poster .
Thank you for all the good you are going to
do thru and to Sister I Am Blessed 16. Amen.

    I am back.

Some would like apples next week. They forgot the smell.
Some would like a book on birds. They can remember their songs.
Some would like their hair curled. The world has not seen them in a while.
Some would like their friends to see they have a visitor. They haven't had one for a long while.
Chocolates, Peanuts, New House Shoes, and Easter Baskets with Talking Bunnies.
Nurses and neighbors; walkers and Canes, Thank You's for coming, and Jesus Loves you.

They all love Jesus, but most cannot remember how to pray or what to say.

Please remember them in your walk with the Lord.

Good afternoon all, I didn't make it by this morning.

Sue, tell me it isn't true. Too many curls? I need a perm, but I am afraid to get one. How can we get them to understand what we want? Just enough body and curl to make our hair manageable.
Are we asking for the impossible?

The first parking meter was in Oklahoma City.

Sorry, Betty. If I told you it wasn't true I would be a fibbin'. Yes, I believe we are asking the impossible!

I got a perm in the first place because I was tired of using hot rollers to CURL my hair. Now, I'm gonna have to use hot rollers to STRAIGHTEN my hair!

Well, Brother Ed...I started scraping on the house this morning and guess what? Yep, it rained! Jest keep them prayers a comin'. Thanks!

Brother Ed, good to hear you got the sutures out, I know you're a lot more comfortable.

Sister Sue, I hate to hear you don't like your new hairdo, I can certainly identify, last time I got a hair cut they practically skunt my head. But praise the Lord, hair eventually grows out, so it won't last forever.

Sister Betty, tell the beautitian that you just want a body wave, then go ahead and take the plunge. No matter how you or Sue wear your hair, you are still beautiful ladies.

Brother Jim, Wonderful devotion today..good food for thought.

Brother Blackbird, so happy to see you're back! As for the tackle shop corner, have you ever heard of a piggin jig? Some years back my hubby looked all over creation for one of those and couldn't find one. Be sure you put one of those in your inventory.

Sister Sherrie, the poll was great! I'm really loving this get-to-know one another stuff...it's nice to put a personality with words.

All the other regulars, have a great day in the Lord!

    Looking up and praising Him,
    Carol

Carol, I have one question...what is "skunt", I can tell it's not good by the context but that word isn't in my dictionary. Is it a regional slang of some type? (I'm not picking on you, language is one of my interests)

Sherrie, I didn't notice the coffee shop poll until reading about it on this thread. It was fun to take. I found it funny how many people picked me on some of the questions, when only one applies to me. Are you going to at some time in the future provide the answers?

Thanks for posting the weather for me. It is indeed cloudy, looks like rain, feels like rain, smells like rain...but as is often the case in the desert....NO RAIN!! [IMG] It's about 50 degrees out, and the wind is blowing cold. It's kind of irritating if you ask me...I'm tired of wearing Winter cloths, so I'm content to be slightly chilly in summer ones.

Bro. Ed, glad you are doing well. You had some spots frozen off? Bet that was fun. (sarcasm) I've had some spots removed, but they always used a scalpal...not fun. I hope you are on the road to recovery. I've been praying for you.

Curly Sue, I got a perm when I was about 22 years old, my hair was long, and they really made a mess of it, I had to cut it short. I'll never do that again. My hair is very sensitive, if I do too much to it, it breaks.

One of my cats wanted out of the house last week, and hasn't come back. I miss him. His name is Sammy, and I hope he's just found another home. Seeing his brother laying on the floor by the sliding glass window in my bedroom, where they both used to sun (it's the warmest room in the house) makes me sad.

Who's going to post devotions if Jim's not going to be here for a couple of days? Any takers?

Hellooo all! I just heard a joke I thought would be appropriate for the coffe shop. What kind of coffee was served on the Titantic?

    Sanka, of course. [IMG]

I must be honest. I do not drink coffee. I've tried the many different kinds and flavors. Everyone I work with drinks coffee black, right out of the pot. I used to chew tobacco and frankly, it tastes better than coffee.

But, I do enjoy hanging out.

Sherrie, you are so funny. I would be interested to know who answered that I know how to make Gumbo, homeschool, and am computer savvy. I wish I was so talented. :D

My kids got their Spring school photos back today. Today was their first day back. Only 9 more weeks and they're off for the summer....then they all go back in September. Did I say all?! (singing) My baby is going to school, my baby is going to school. I bet I'll cry.

I wish I knew how to post photos to my profile or to post them here...but I'm not computer savvy. [IMG]

I better get off the computer...it's getting about that time.

Good night friends...Talk to you soon.

Ya'll! Guess what?? The Catipillar D9 'dozer will be at the coffee shop earrrrrrrrrly tomorrow morning to start the minor(very minor) renovations--with the addition of the new Pro Shop I told ya'll I was gonna put in. Ya'll will find out that Blackbird not only knows how to preach but he also knows how to drive a 'cat!! For all you women who don't--here is a crash course--just keep twistin' knobs and turnin' switches and stompin' pedals till you get it to go where you want and do what you want!

So, go ahead on and lets have coffee--never mind the diesel fumes--Sherrie, just one question! I need to know if there is any asbestos in the building?? Blackbird is use to the stuff--but some of you lady folk will have to go outside to breath---

I'm very sorry for the inconvience--its only for a little while--I'll get started bustin' out this back wall here . . .!!!! "What's that, Sherrie! Speak up! I can't hear you over the roar of this engine!!!" Woops!! Too late!! Sorry!!

Your Southern Baptist preachin, 'dozer drivin' fool!

    Blackbird

Blackbird Ole Buddy are you gonna sell live bait too? Not that I will buy any, when I go fishin I just dig up some nightcrawlers.

Sherrie It's nice to know you are thinking about Jeanne and me. She is doing alot better, but still not 100%. She will probable be off work for another two weeks at least before the Doc will turn her loose again.

I havn't had a chance to follow the Coffee Shop much, but I do peak in the door now and again.
