Jim... [IMG] that is why I stayed away from that thread! [IMG] Boy they must have seen you coming. Wonder if God sees me when I am in the shower? hmmmm... He sees me with the veil of Jesus folks. I do not think it was a dress to my ankles! After all....he did give Jesus, to save me. Did not the veil come down when Jesus died on the cross? hmmmm...silly me...what was I thinking?...hmmmm But then that is another thread. Hold on...I need to get my shower dress on...oh lets not forget that vinyl umbrella shower cap/veil too. [IMG]

Just your Coffee Shop buddy wearing only the veil of Jesus! Praise the Lord...and passs out the forgiveness! Oh Yeah! Thats God for you...sees me in all my unperfectness...wearing the perfectness of Jesus!

AdoptedDaughter and Sherrie, This world will always have its critics, and often they reject criticism in reverse. I shouldn't worry about it. I get called liberal among other things and mostly let it fall over my shoulder. I am confident where I stand.

    Cheers, and God bless,

    Jim

Ok...I know Jim's devotion was not meant for how I am going to put this...so ...

I was wondering....how will people remember me? That leaves me sad. I am not rich...so I did not give millions away...I have no big degrees...I did not do anything fantastic...I was not the inventor of anything...I am of no importance....Wonder what my kids will say? Hope they will say at the least...I loved the Lord.

"Here lives a lady who was not fantastic at anything...but the Lord loved her...and she Loved the Lord."

    Sherrie,

I would imagine you will be remembered for you kind heartedness. You always seem to have a kind word for people and that can be so important. You love everyone, and in todays world todays world needs more Sherries and Jim's .Matthew 22:39b tell us:

"Love your neighbour as yourself" if we can only acheive this in our lifetime we have acheived a lot.

    Blessings

Want to hear something amusing and important at the same time? Well, I am going to tell you anyway.

The town drunk calls me padre all the time. We all sort of chuckle about it. Just not an half hour ago, he brought a woman to see me. She was not a drunk. She went to visit a friend and found him dead on the floor. She was devastated. He was only 47.

You see, if we keep our testimony clear for the Lord, we can be used and I am dressed in work clothes. Be available for the Lord and for the people. That is the secret. I don't know what will come of it, but the town drunk came back and told me that she listened and she was very pleased to receive some counsel on the matter.

The Lord be praised. The devotional says to make the most of the life we know, because no one can brag on longevity, and the only life worth living is one wrapped in Jesus.

    Cheers, and God bless,

    Jim

Ninety-Nine! What 'cha mean, I ain't the board fix it person anymore?? Maybe I need to explain--you see, in my early days on the board--I could fix washin' machines, dryers, lawnmowers, and ceilin' fans--why, I can take a regular "Hunter" ceilin' fan--twist a few wires here and there and have the blades spinnin' faster than a P-51 Mustang at full throttle! I also have a wife who won't let me be that big of a daredevil!

But all of those days are bygone! I've advanced way on past washin' machines, although I did have to come to Gina's rescue on her very sensitive forum concerning car repairs! Mercy, the way those women talk in that forum--something as simple as a vapor canister turns out to be a major overhaul!

Ladies, a recommitment from Blackbird! You got trouble at your house that you can't handle--let Blackbird know--really!

Right 'chew are, Sister! She keeps askin' me, "Do you think you have enough life insurance? Maybe we need to call the agent!"

This morning I had to go into Brookhaven to pick up a amplifier for our church's PA system--we had taken it to the music shop for repairs last week. Anyway, my Deacon Chairman says that he's got to go to Brookhaven also to pick up a four wheeler he had taken for repairs--I can just ride with him!

Anyway, we arrive at none other than the Brookhaven Yamaha shop. We get out and go in--and like a big gigantic suction---the "force" grabs Blackbird and starts pullin' him into the vortex--

In the shop showroom--there was "wall to wall" motorcycles---street machines! And Blackbird was quickly comin' down with the motorcycle "fever!" I make the dreaded mistake of sittin' on one of um! A 950 Star! The key wasn't in it or I would have cranked it right there on the showroom floor! But it sure made me wish----then I asked the deacon with me, "Reckon what Miriam would say if I came drivin' up the driveway on this jewel!"--like all good deacon chairman's---he ruled against me and in favor of my wife!!!!!!! RATS!!

    Blackbird

Edited because I had spelled Yahama wrong in the first place---don't want any cycle lovers on the board to be offended!

Teresa, are you speaking about the thread on divorce?

It's not necessary to rebuke a repentant God fearing Christian for something that God has already dealt with and forgiven them for.

That would be considered a "Holier than thou" attitude. Which none of us should do right? The ground is level at the cross. "There are none righteous, no not one." We're not perfect, we're forgiven.

    God Bless You,
    Charlotte

But I didn't rebuke anyone. I merely stated my stance, and then replied to their questions/statements.

It's not my place to rebuke anyone, which is why I never have or plan on doing so.

    Hi all!

I am running late today but couldn't stand it any longer! I needed to visit the BB!

It is not raining here, but is cloudy, cool, and humid. A good day to lounge and I have! [IMG]

Tomorrow I will have to get busy again, sun or no sun. I thank the Lord that I always have the Son. [IMG]

I need a DDP, so I thought I would pop in, grab it and run before blackbird drags me to the cash register. [IMG]

Blackbird, I will gladly let you keep your title of "Tim Taylor of the Baptist Board". [IMG] I would rather not fix anything myself if I can hire someone to do it that knows what they are doing. [IMG]
