Isn't a clean desk a sign of a cluttered mind?

    Twice at work:

    1. When I went on a short vacation - a female co-worker thought she would help me - and she cleaned my desk - I was totally lost for about two months!!

    2. When I was off on two months sick leave - my boss ordered another female co-worker to clean my desk - some things I didn't find until I left that job for another about two years later.

Given about three minutes - I usually can find anything I really need that's on my desk. But when its clean(ed) - especially by someone else - I haven't the foggiest!!! [IMG] [IMG]

    Sherrie,

    Choose one of the following:

A clean desk is the sign of a cluttered mind.

A cluttered desk is the sign of a clean mind.

A clean desk is the sign of a clean mind.

A cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered ming.

Which ever one you choose is correct - I really want you to win - in fact I've never thought of you as not winning!! [IMG]

    Glad to be back.

Yes, we flew to Vancouver, BC, Canada.
We took a cruise on the Volendam (Holland
America Line) to Alaska stopping at
    Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan.
We returned to Voncouber, BC and flew
    back to Oklahoma.

This was our Honeymoon cruise, Phase III [IMG]

Down here we have Captain D's instead of LJS! I like it but my wife won't let us eat there. She said that one time her momma was eatin' at Captain D's there in Talledega with a friend and she found a dead spider on top of her fried fish!

So I protest--I say, "You're gonna let one isolated episode keep us from eatin' a good healthy meal?? And besides, #2, I didn't actually see it happen and #3 it may have just been only a "figment of her imagination(we get a lot of that on the board, don't we??)--anyway, she wins out---

Would rather have a good ole fish fry at the house--with some home made Butterfinger ice cream to boot!!!

Your Southern Baptist preachin', spider denyin' buddy,

What is a fish fry???!! Home made ice cream of any kind is wonderful. We do it for our pastor's birthday every year. LOL, he's already advertising it! It's June 25. AUGHHH! He's already got me to memorize it! Pretty soon we'll be having his "surprise" party, although I don't know why we call it a surprise party, cause we have one for him every year!
Anyways, I'm still wonderin'...WHAT is a fish fry?!

    Dear Abby :D

A fish fry is a piece of fish - deboned (to make Sue happy) - dipped in a batter - and deep fried in hot grease (oil).

Its loaded with calories - tastes OK - but I think it is more palatable with about an inch of tartar sauce on it.

Its quite common for restaurants to offer them on Fridays.

You go, Dan. My desk is, well, an utter mess. But I can usually find anything I need. When it becomes too much, I clean it. That happens, oh, every 18 months or so. A cleaning is coming up, but I haven't the time to devote to it.

The preferred method is a controlled burn with the fire department close by.

Sherrie, I'm still in the cellar, and the fish fumes are a wee bit much. If you can't find the key, take Dan's advice and pump tarter sauce under the door. And hushpuppies. I don't suppose you have any cole slaw?

Hi everyone,,Just got in, and here I am.

I am a neat-freak and wife is the opposite. I don't dare touch her desk, but mine is clean as a whistle and every piece of paper is directly on top of another..nothing sticking out. Wife complained one time that I even had the parishioners filed neatly away.

Wife levelled me out a little.....Now to work on her....... [IMG]

    Cheers,

    Jim

You guys I am leaving all the creativity up to you tonight. My tummy really hurts. I think it is my Ulcer. It burns bad. Really bad. Like sharp pains like a knife...that kind of pain. It really burns. I could not find anything for Ulcers at Wal Mart..so I got Mylanta. I think I drank the whole bottle. It really hurts. I was thinking in the morning close to afternoon (I am not a morning person) to drive 50 miles and go to emergency and see. Nothing like Dr. or hospitals around here are safe. I would go to the vet first here.

    Sherrie :(

The restaurant we eat at quite often - Big Papas - its in our home town - really caters to Jan.

She has celiacs - they know it - if they have a piece of fish (haddock) in the freezer - they will always broil it for her.

They've spoiled us (her) a lot.

That's why we keep going back. It's hard to get the oil hot enough at home to make a good fish fry - we could bake or broil - but deep frying and tartar sauce is the only way I want to eat fish - except for tuna - then I drown its flavor in onions, mayo, and hopefully - potato chips!!!

I generally dislike fish so much - that I don't even go fishing!!! [IMG]

Fish and porcupine are the only meats that can be eaten raw without affecting the digestive system.

    Cheers,

No Dan. A clean desk is the sign of a broken computer! [IMG]

Wrong again Dan. What you described is a piece of fried fish. :D A fish fry is when you have a BUNCH of fish and a BUNCH of people over and you fry the fish outside in a big vat. ;)

Sherrie needed to be right tonight...tomorrow might be your turn to be right. [IMG]

    Nite all,
    Sue
