    Sherrie,

    I've had ulcers in the past - Jan has recurring problems with them.

    Get to a Doctor ASAP - if you have to take that much Mylanta - and it didn't help - its time to get professional help - and I wouldn't suggest the Vet - because he would probably just ask you to bark (or meow - if you are a cat lover.)

    Will be praying for you.

    In Christ,
    Dan Todd

    No, I have never eaten. It is just a fact.

    Yes, as Dan says, get to the doctor. The last thing you want to deal with is a bleeding ulder in the stomach..

    Do take care, and blessings.

    Sherrie,

    On a humorous note - if you're up to it tonight - the doctor will probably tell you no carbonated beverages and no coffee.

    No coffee - won't that be hard on the proprietor of the Coffee Shop!!

    Sue,

    I stand corrected - it seems I've had to be corrected several times today - you would think it would make me more humble - but it probably won't.

    And yes, I too want Sherrie to win win win!!! [IMG]

    No better tomorrow and I am going. Trust me on that one.

    It had to have been that Church BarBQ that did me in. All I ate was a small piece of meat. I wonder if it was their secret spices?

    I only drink water, or Ice tea no sugar. I am not a big drinker of anything. I have a cup of coffee in the morning. I use to could drink a pot or two.

    What am I winning guys??????? If its Jon's desk...phew too sore and too hurt to...he will have to do it!

    Sherrie
    edited because I am really slow tonight.

    Dear Abby

    A fish fry is a piece of fish - deboned (to make Sue happy) - dipped in a batter - and deep fried in hot grease (oil).

    Its loaded with calories - tastes OK - but I think it is more palatable with about an inch of tartar sauce on it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    OH! So that's what it is! That sounds delecious! My family are big fish eaters. We go to the fishcamp {down here it's a resteraunt to eat fish.Some places it's diffrent.} at least once a week. I love develed crab and flounder fillet. I also like Perch. But I don't beleive I've ever ate a fish like you described!
    Sherrie, I'm so sorry your feeling sick. I'll be praying for ya! Please go to the doctor. I don't want you to get worse!
    Abby,
    You better read Sue's (I Am Blessed 16) 10:39 PM post on this thread - because like most women I know - she informed me in that post that I was wrong.
    And I wouldn't want to lead a 15 year old young lady astray!!! :D
    But I am "write" about the spelling of Earnhardt - it does have a "D" in it - and yes the late Dale, Sr. was a champion NASCAR driver - even if Sue doesn't care for the "Terminator."
    Do you know why he was called the "Terminator"?
    PS - I had to at least get this post in tonight (# 667) - as I certainly had no intention of getting stuck on post # 666!!! :eek:
    Because he,ah, terminated things? No I really don't know why he was called that. I thought he was a great driver. I cred the night he died. I just didn't believe it.
    Saw her post, and thank you both for clarifying that about the fish.
    Abby,
    He was called the "Terminator" because he would push (knock, hit, etc.) anyone who was in his way - out of his way - in order to win the race.
    Some think he was a dirty driver - who got away with it - because he was Dale Earnhardt. Whatever the case - he certainly was a champion!
    Yes! I think he was a great defensive driver ;) And since alls fair in love and war {I think?!} why not a race too? Which I'm sure some may describe as a war!
    And thanks for clarifying that too. I just learn more each day!
    Dan, I wonder if Dale and Ric Flair were friends. Your quote above almost sounds like the description for Flair. He is the dirtiest player in the game. I saw him at Worlds Gym (not Jim) last year. I think I can take him. He's old. He's over 53 yrs old. [IMG]
    Sherrie, I hope you get to feeling better! :D
    Ya know, I really don't understand Nascar fans.. if I wanted to watch cars go around in circles, I'd go park downtown! [IMG]
    Blackbird, we have both Captain D's and LJS. My son fires fish at LJS. When he closes he always brings home fish,chicken,hushpuppies, and once a whole box of shrimp. I'm getting pretty tired of eating, I mean we don't even eat there anymore because of the greasy food, but are you going to do when it's your kid bringing it home.
    Okay, rsr, since you mention it:
    I think "Pore Jud is Daid" is a very funny song, that displays true Okie humor.
    My eldest son was horrified, (he thinks very literally) and saw it as Curly tempting Jud to do wrong.
    Rick Flair the wrestler? Too funny!
    Good Morning All! Stomach still hurts...but I think the Maalox (Not Mylanta as I had said...I am so stupid I can't read bottle correct) is starting to work. We will see. But I have a bad headache too. Really bad. I am giving this until noon...and then I am off to hospital.
    One thing...that mint flavoring....it is very nausiating. Could have did without it.
    Katie,
    It wouldn't do me to work at a place like that---I'd eat all their profit---and it wouldn't be long before I'd have to weigh myself at the truck stop!
    But a fish fry?? In Dexter? Soon as I can get to the airport ticket counter--"Lets see! You want to go from Jackson to Saint Louis, right??"
    Sherrie, get yourself to the doctor---like, "Today!"
    Dan Todd---let the contest begin!! Lets see who has the messy-est desk and who can "keep" it the messy-est! Thats at the office--not to mention the computer desk here at home! Company comes over or somethin---even the bug man--if he comes over to spray my wife always says, "I'm so embarrassed when Daniel comes over to spray and your computer desk is like it is!!"
    And I tell her, "Lord, Miriam! He's just the bug man!"
    And then she says, "It doesn't matter if he's the Governor! I'm still embarrassed!"
    Can't wait for the fish fry! In fact, Sherrie--there'll be a team of researchers comin' to the coffee shop in just a few minutes---lookin' at the feezability of . . .! Well, lets make a long story short---Dan Todd likes tarter sauce on his fish!!!!!!!!
    Your Southern Baptist preachin', fish fryin' buddy,
    Blackbird
    Good morning everyone. It is another lovely day to begin with, and I trust you are all enjoying the same.
    Sherrie, my great fear of these over-the-counter remedies might mask a greater illness and then where are we? The better part of wisdom might be to seek out your doctor and have a little visit.
    It was good to read tat Ed and his bride enjoyed a nice visit to Alaska. What a lovely state it is.
    Always good to see you Blackbirdie, Keep on going on, mate. Blessings on you.
    It is also a delight to see the young people joining us in here. Let's not disappoint dear Abby, and show her that we old fogies have not lost our delight in the Lord. It just gets better as we move along in Him.
    Cheers,
    Jim
    Ed spends all night washing the dishes
    in the coffee shop. Thank you for leaving
    them all last week [IMG] Some of these
    sure got greasy.
    That was a religious experience [IMG]
    I prayed for the eater from each of
    the dirty dishes. Something like this:
    God please bless the eater from this
    dish with Your best blessings. Amen! [IMG]
