I usually go to bed around 11:30pm. But, I have some free time on my hands and find myself bored. Now I find myself on the board. [IMG]

    AuDzY,

I have enjoyed posting with you. I can feel my eyeballs drying out. I must give them some rest. Until next time. Don't let the bed bugs bite! [IMG]

I have just been looking thru the posts of last night. I would never intentionally cause offence to any of you. So what does "homely" mean over in the U.S. then. Here is is comfortable, home from home, cottagey. It was meant as a compliment. guess i cant do anything right. im sorry

    Sheila,
It means the same thing on this side of "The Big Pond" too--the Coffee Shop is sorta a home away from home! To me, its sorta like going to the mountains for a little get away--yet without actually going. Although I do love the mountains--the Ozarks are my favorite--been there lots of times---why, I can just about betcha my $5 against your pound that even Sister Sherrie has been and still remembers going to Dogpatch over in Jasper, Arkansas when she was a little girl!!

I love the Smokies--Gatlinburg, Ruby Falls, Cheroke, North Carolina. My wife's mom and dad live in Alabama near Cheaha Mountain--that's a lovely drive through to see Fall folage if you don't like the usual crowds farther up north.

And before I "kick the bucket" I want to go out west to see the Rockies--over to Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming.

But, yes, I hope this answers your delimma--we adore you here--stories are made up and told, lives are lived for real with real hurts and real problems, solutions are shared, and if solutions don't come, then we won't go!! We'll stay with ya until it does come!! So stay a while!

    Your Southern Baptist preacher friend,
    Brother David(aka Blackbird)

During the height of World War 2--there was a sortie of B-17's that had just dropped their payload of Christmas gifts(bombs) onto a German target and were headed home to an English airbase. It was discovered that a German flak gun had penetrated a certain plane and had damaged the exit hatch of the lower machine gun turret and the gunner was trapped inside. The turret swings around hydroiclically. The plane's landing gear could not be extended and everyone on board knew what that meant to the gunner trapped in that belly turret. But yet the plane had to land. But yet the hatch out of the turret was jammed shut. The gunner was dead while he spoke. The pilot and the commander at the English base kept contact with the doomed gunner--talking with him--until the plane touched down.

So with the church. And even with the Coffee Shop! Here's my committment--somebody hopelessly doomed---I'll stay with ya--talk with ya to the end--something to help. Any word to help.
