my brother is a former IFB Pastor who has gone through a few church iterations since he left them. Yesterday he was at the house and sited a Calvary Church in the area. I will attempt to find it & post it. How do they stack up as a church?

I know the difference. Though Warren is many things, I don't think he is a theological liberal. What in times past was called a Neo-Evangelical yes, Liberal no.
But getting back to the OP, I discussed Larry Oats' The Church of the Fundamentalists with a brother who observed the situation from the sidelines. He noted Dr. Clearwaters was not happy to say the least about the Wenigars founding San Francisco [Conservative] Baptist mTheological Seminary. He believed SF's students should be going to Central.

That does not even warrant a response. The Klan views me as an inferior race. You can flat be a rude jerk.
I am now going on topic.

Why is it so hard to stay on the OP - The Discussion is about the Conservative Baptist movement - Not the KKK, the Bible Belt ( in fact - I would say very few CBA churches in the Bible Belt) , The IFB, Calvary Church - ect.
I am surprised that Squire has NOT closed this discussion.
And I would have no problem if you start deleting posts that are off OP.

Squire - the book you mentioned sounds like an excellent read.

Since the CBA is rooted in the Northern Baptist Convention, it's understanablethat there are few CBA churches in the Bible Belt.

That is a very interesting blog post, Squire. Thanks!

As a "not-Southern Baptist" but "in the South" Baptist, I don't understand as much of the details about the history of organizations that are Northern-oriented as I do about our Southern squabbles and divisions. I look forward to his story about the New Testament Association of Independent Baptist Churches which he said will be told in the next Nick of Time. Quite a few years ago I made contact with the NTAIBC and got some of their information, history and materials. I have not followed this body closely, but as an outside observer it appears that haven't made a lot of progress.

I noticed Chester Tulga mentioned in Bauder's article. I have some of his books, which were promoted by some preachers in our area. In fact, the ABA Baptist Sunday School Committee in Texarkana printed his Premillennialists and Their Critics in 1961. Did any of you know him?

Yep, that's the real religion in the Bible Belt.

Please explain how any of the above is linked to the CBA.

It may be that they don't point to the association name a lot (just guessing, I really don't know). On their website, they use the abbreviated title "CBAmerica". Not sure how far you are north in the east, but probably one of these two regional associations would catch your area -- Mission Mid-Atlantic or Mission Northeast.

My first church was a conservative baptist church. The one page doctrinal statement was not clear enough and allowed for strange beliefs to enter in. I was glad to be a member early on and was baptised there. As we scontinued to study it became necessary to leave that place for an assembly that was more interested in doctrine and service.
I think it has since changed into a community church.

Refurbishing a previous question that may have gone unnoticed.

Found one, even an autographed copy.

Can real Christians though ever have a legit biblical reason to seperate over non essential areas of the Faith?

Did you read the linked articles (both the OP and the one cited in post 38 above)? Did you read the linked book (Ths Church of the Fundamentalists)? If you did, you will find the men back in the day had what they believed to be good and sufficient reasons for taking the actions they took. You may disagree with them but they didn't take action lightly.
