The difference between a man and a boy

I've used them in the church vans when that was our only way of communication between vehicles before cell phones but we don't need them anymore.

I had a friend who worked for Marlboro. They had purchased marketing items that they were later restricted from distributing and he was told just to take them home. Anyway, ended up with two handheld cb radios with the Marlboro logo. I’d talk to my son for a couple of miles on my way to work. Lost ‘em, but they were fun while they lasted.

When I was younger we all had CB's. I guess the cell phone replaced the CB radio for us. Now we can talk to each other, use apps to see accident locations and where the police are sitting as we go 90 mph down the interstate.

 

I remember showing my son how the handheld CB’s worked. It wasn’t long before I heard something I didn’t want to hear…and certainly didn’t want my son to hear and that was it for using the CB on the road.

My father was a truck driver and growing up we always had the CB on.
