    GE:

Your ‘providing’ or ‘bringing up’ of these texts, is just like your ‘citing’ them above – by NOT ‘providing’ or ‘bringing up’ or ‘citing’ them AT ALL!

But we all on here know these texts; no issue.

    Therefore :

    Matthew 28:1” … FALSE …
… in that it does ‘talk about the Resurrection’ by implication BUT,
NOT as you aver, on Sunday.
It does ‘talk about the Resurrection’ by implication through the angel’s ‘explanation’ on Sunday morning of:
the moment of the earthquake and the angel of the Lord’s descent
and opening of the grave “On the Sabbath Day”, _BEFORE_!

    Therefore:
    Luke 24:1” … FALSE! …
It does NOT ‘talk about the Resurrection’ but of the time of the women’s first visit at, and discovery of, the EMPTY tomb.

    Therefore:
    John 20:1” … FALSE! …
It does NOT ‘talk about the Resurrection’ but of the time of MARY’S SOLO first SIGHT of the STONE rolled away FROM the tomb – her discovery of the OPENED tomb.

    Therefore:
    “I Co 15:4” … FALSE! …
It does NOT talk about the First Day of the week much less about ‘Sunday’.

    Therefore:
    “Acts 10:40” … FALSE! …
It does NOT talk about the First Day of the week much less about ‘Sunday’ – read ‘hyperliterally’ or just literally or even metaphorically or idiomatically --- no diffs anyway, your ‘bringing up’ of the text was to your own hand.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday? what does it matter now?
It was what it was and all of our debating won't change the day He arose from the dead.

You are right - Jesus is the only way.

I am content to leave it there.

    GE:

Your contentment is to YOUR contentment; but God says, "man shall live of / by / from EVERY WORD of God."

Check the Psalms, how the poet and singer, feasts and eats and drinks God's words.

Jesus' way, "passovered" the Sabbath of the LORD God, when "First Sheaf Offering" was "waved BEFORE THE LORD". The following day "on the first Day of the week ... He appeared TO MARY", then "met THEM" the women ... "THE RISEN" : Yahweh having had “PASSED OVER”.

Christ our Passover; Jesus, Lamb of God.

THESE are the things that contented JESUS to explain to the disciples "CONCERNING THE CHRIST".

Not a slightest detail can be slighted.

Then, compare the last three day of Jesus' last passover with the first three days of the first passover of the Jews,

Abib 14, Wednesday night and Thursday day = Fifth Day ....

1A) HERE BEGINS the NIGHT and the FIRST of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
wherein Jesus ENTERED IN in “the Kingdom of my Father” (Jesus’ Jonah’s descent to hell) :–
    Mk14:12/17; Mt26:17/20; Lk22:7/14; Jn13:1.

1B) HERE BEGINS the MORNING of the FIRST of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
in which Jesus was delivered and crucified :–
    Mk15:1/Mt27:1/Lk23:1/Jn19:14

1C) HERE is the LATE NOON AND MID–AFTERNOON of the FIRST of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
when Jesus DIED and was deserted by all :–
    Mk15:37–41; Mk27:50–56; Lk23:44–49; Jn19:28–30

    . . . . . .
Abib 15, Thursday night and Friday day = Sixth Day ....

2A) HERE BEGINS the SECOND of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
the day whereon Joseph WOULD BURY the body of Jesus :–
    Mk15:42/Mt27:57, Lk23:50–51, Jn19:31/38.

2B) HERE is the NIGHT of the SECOND of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
wherein Joseph begged the body, and according to the law of the Jews – the passover’s law – undertook and prepared to bury Jesus:–
    Mk15:43–46a; Mt27:58–59; Lk23:52–53a; Jn19:31b–40

2C) HERE is the LATE NOON AND MID–AFTERNOON of the SECOND of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
when Joseph and Nicodemus laid the body and closed the tomb; and men and women left for home :–
    Mk15:46b–47; Mk27:60–61; Lk23:53b–56a; JN19:41–42

    . . . . . . .
Abib 16, Friday night and Saturday day = Seventh Day Sabbath....

3A) HERE BEGINS the THIRD of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
THAT JESUS WOULD RISE FROM THE DEAD ON :–
    Lk23:56b

3B) HERE is the MORNING of the THIRD of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
Pilate ordered a guard “for the third day” :–
    Mt27:62–66

3C) HERE is “IN the Sabbath’s Fullness MID–AFTERNOON” of the THIRD of the “three days”, “according to the Scriptures” – the passover–Scriptures :–
First Sheaf Wave Offering Before the LORD :–
    Mt28:1–4.

    __________________________________________________ ___

Abib 17, Saturday night and Sunday day = First Day ....

4A) HERE begins the day AFTER the “three days” (fourth day of the passover season) :–
that Jesus WOULD APPEAR on :–
Mk16:1, “When the Sabbath was past ..... they BOUGHT ....”

4B) HERE is the EVENING of this day,
    Jn20:1–10 Mary sees the DOOR STONE was away from the tomb (discovers tomb has been OPENED);

4C) HERE is the NIGHT of this day,
    Lk24:1–10 “DEEP(EST) DARKNESS” ––– “women with their spices” and ointments go to salve the body; “they found Him NOT” (discover tomb is EMPTY);
Mk16:2–8 “very early (before) SUN’S RISING” ––– women’s return–visit to ascertain; “they fled terrified and told NO ONE”.

4D) Here is sunrise (‘Sunday’ morning),
Jn20:11f, Mk16:9 “Mary had had stood behind” .... saw the gardener (sunrise); “Risen, early (sunrise) on the First Day, Jesus first APPEARED to Mary ....”
Mt28:5–10 “The angel explained to the (other) women (Mt28:1–4) .... As they went to tell .... Jesus met them” (after sunrise).
    Mt28:11–15 Guard to high priests.
USE BIBLES OF BEFORE THE TWENTIETH CENTURY – they are not as wangled as the later ones. And compare those ancient translations with the modern ones to see the truth of the older ones!

    Chronology of Crucifixion Week Illustrated
    FRIDAY Nisan 9th
John 12:1--"Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany..."

    Critique:
You must complete the text; it says --"Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany... WHERE LAZARUS STAYED.”

    Friday
"The eighth day of Abib, they came"[7], He came to Bethany.[8]
    [7] 2Chr29:15b
    [8] Jn11:56, 12:1a

    Freeatlast:
    ….SATURDAY Nisan 10th
John 12:12,13--"On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna..."
Mark 11:11--"And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve."
    The Triumphal Entry
    Jewish Seventh-Day Sabbath
    "Palm Saturday"

    Critique:
“Jewish Seventh-Day Sabbath” should be Nisan 9, and
“Seventh-Day Sabbath "Palm Saturday"” should be ‘Sunday’ Nisan 10, and
“SUNDAY Nisan 11th” must be “SUNDAY Nisan 10th”.

    John 12:1,
“SIX DAYS before the passover-FEAST day”.

Jesus would not have burdened the beast on the Sabbath Day and the people would not cut branches and stuff on the Sabbath Day. So it could not be "Palm _Saturday_", but should be ‘Palm _Sunday_’ "(W)hen Jesus six days before the passover came in Bethany WHERE LAZARUS STAYED and they served him lunch.”

Jesus would not have travelled on the Sabbath.
He arrived in Bethany on the Sixth Day; and then on the Sabbath after, was hosted by Lazarus.
Therefore “FRIDAY ” must have been Nisan 8, and the meal on the Sabbath on Nisan 9.

    Saturday (Abib 9)
Six days before the Passover Feast; where Lazarus stayed; lunch.[9]
[9] Jn12:1b “SIX DAYS before the passover-FEAST day”.

The Church has always been right on ‘Palm _Sunday_’. Therefore once again,
    it could not be “SATURDAY Nisan 10th”;
it was the First Day (‘SUNDAY’), “Nisan 10th”, because
“In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them a lamb”, Exodus 12:3.

    Freeatlast:
    SUNDAY Nisan 11th

Mark 11:12,13--"And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came..."

    Must be MONDAY Nisan 11.
Text associated with wrong day and date.

    Monday (Abib 11;
    4 days before Feast)
The next day[14] From Bethany; fig tree; in temple; when late out of city; to Bethany.[15]
    [14] Mk11:12-13, Mt21:18-19
    [15] Mk11:19, Mt21:17

Mark 11:19--"And when even was come, he went out of the city.")

Freeatlast allocate these Scriptures to “Nisan 11th … _SUNDAY_ ” and “SATURDAY Nisan 10th”!

    Olivet Discourse Concluded
    Supper at Simon's House
On Next Afternoon Peter and John Prepare Passover

    Critique:
“TUESDAY Nisan 13th” must be “TUESDAY Nisan 12”.

The quoted texts are all misplaced

Delete “On Next Afternoon Peter and John Prepare Passover” and try put it under the next afternoon to see.

    Tuesday (Abib 12;
    3 days before Feast)
The next day[1]; returned to city; saw fig tree; in temple; out of temple; mount of Olives.[2] = “When Jesus had
finished these sayings, he said to his disciples, You know that after two days is the Passover when the Son of Man is to be crucified (Abib 14).”[3]
    [1] Mk11:20, Mt21:18,23, Lk20:1
    [2] Mk13:1,3
[3] Mt26:2, Jesus’ own words to his disciples; “two days” to Nisan 14, but 3 days to Nisan 15 the “Feast of Unleavened Bread”.

Freeatlast does not see that Jesus and the Jews spoke on different and separate days of the different and separate days of the Crucifixion and the Feast and Burial.

Freeatlast disregards the magnificent TRUTH Jesus’ Burial FULFILLED “That Day”, “according to the Scriptures” PERFECTLY.

So, because Freeatlast has been one day ahead of events with his dating, the next day and date, correctly, were,

After two days was the Feast Day[7] of the Passover of Unleavened Bread [Abib 15]; The priests sought how they might take Him; not on the Feast! [Abib 15][8]
And He being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper ...
Judas went to the priests to betray Him unto them
    without tumult.”[9]

    [5] Lk21:38
    [6] Lk22:1
    [7] Mk14:1, Abib 15; Mark’s words to the readers.

    [9] Mk14:3,10, Mt26:6,15, Lk22:3

Freeatlast allocated these Scriptures to “TUESDAY Nisan 13th” instead of to Wednesday Abib 13, the date one day AHEAD of the date, so that he can move Crucifixion-day BACK onto Wednesday!

So, out of place and sequence, says
    Freeatlast:
    WEDNESDAY Nisan 14th
    --Just After Sunset—

    NOTE:
Now Wednesday “just after sunset” is the Fifth Day already, i.e., is ‘Thursday’ already! So where’s Freeatlast’s Wednesday-crucifion?!]

    Freeatlast:
Matt. 26:20--"Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve."
--Then came Gethsemane and the arrest, the religious trial before day, the trial before Pilate in the morning, the crucifixion by noon---”
    NOTE:
… WHICH ALL THEN HAPPENED ON THE FIFTH DAY— even according to Freeatlast himself NOT on ‘Wednesday’ the Fourth Day of the week because it was after sunset “when the even was come” and Jesus “sat down with the twelve” on the day that he would be crucified and die!

DESPITE, under “WEDNESDAY Nisan 14th” STILL, Freeatlast continues,
Mark 15:42,43--"And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath..."” AS THOUGH THE SAME ‘EVENING’ when Jesus “sat down with the twelve”, stating,
“--the day before the sabbath [… Freeatlast has a pending mid-week ‘ceremonial sabbath’, in mind …] Joseph of Arimathea went unto Pilate and requested the body of Jesus which he buried in his own tomb.
Mark 15:47--"And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid."
    God's Passover
    Jews' "Preparation Day"
    Passover Eaten
    Jesus Crucified "Between the Evenings"
    "Good Wednesday" ” …
    … INCREDIBLE MANIPULATION!!

But now for the gymnastics …

    Freeatlast,
    “THURSDAY Nisan 15 th …

    NOTE:
… “THURSDAY Nisan 15 th” which in fact was the fourteenth and the Fourth Day.
But Freeatlast SKIPS the whole day of the BURIAL that back where he quoted Mark 15:42,43,
“And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath”, HAD BEGUN!

BETTER translated— more precise and literally, it is written,

“The evening having already come … since it was the Day-of-Preparation which is the Fore-Sabbath (that) had begun … Joseph suddenly arrived …”. Mark 15:42 John 19:31,38 Luke 23:50.

IT – this, Joseph who came there and wanted to begin undertake to bury Jesus – happened AFTER the day of the Crucifixion had ended and BEFORE the prospective rest of the day of the Burial that “already had begun”. So this day as soon as the Burial was finished and Joseph LEFT the scene “And That Day The Preparation while it began to dawn towards the Sabbath Day mid-afternoon … by the time for the Jews’ preparations (to begin), BEGAN ENDING”— ‘epephohsken sabbaton’ IMPERFECT! Luke 23:53-55 John 19:42.

Then the women after they had prepared their spices and had their usual preparations done, “Began to rest the Sabbath according to the (Fourth) Commandment. Luke 23:56

And it was the Sabbath’s morning that followed THESE “preparations of the Jews” mentioned in Matthew 27:62 that “the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate." And secured a watch for the tomb”.

But Freeatlast refers to “… that sabbath day” which “was an high day” BEFORE the Crucifixion, as were it a ‘sabbath’ AFTER the Crucifixion.

But here is the truth …

That is certainly the intent of the Sabbath for PERSONAL worship. Moreover, there is not one example of New Testament congregations meeting and worshipping on Saturday or the Jewish Sabbath. Paul met on the Sabbath at the synonogue to evangelize the Jews but no records of church worship on Saturday. The consistent example according to the plain_n_simple view of scripture is that they consistently met for worship on the first day of the week in honor of their risen Lord (Jn. 20:1,8,19; Acts 2:1; 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:1-2; Rev. 1:10). I follow the consistent example set in scripture for PUBLIC worship on the first day of the week "tn kurikn hemera" or "the Lord's day."

    [16] Mk14:35, Mt26:39a
    [17] Mk14:41b Mt26:45b

    It is true,
“Lev. 23:6--"And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD..." Lev. 23:7--"...Ye shall do no servile work therein"”, “THURSDAY Nisan 15 th” …
… are the equivalent of the New Testament,
… “And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath”.

    And it is true,
these Old and New Testament Scriptures are both about the “Passover Sabbath (The Day of "Passover and Unleavened Bread").

So WHERE are we cheated by Freeatlast?
Therein that he alleges these Scriptures are BEFORE SUNSET; and the “even”, is the few LAST minutes in the daylight before sunset and not the FIRST part of NIGHT, “EVENING” between after sunset and before midnight.

In other words, we are cheated by Freeatlast in that he tries to make us believe the Crucifixion AND Burial were on the SAME day YET were BEFORE “Passover Sabbath … The Day of "Passover and Unleavened Bread"”— BEFORE the FIFTEENTH day of the First Month— an OBVIOUS IMPOSSIBILITY which Freeatlast hoped we would not notice.

Note how fraudulently Freeatlast mixes the Sciptures,
“WEDNESDAY Nisan 14th --Just After Sunset—“
    A:
“Matt. 26:20--"Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve."
--Then came Gethsemane and the arrest, the religious trial before day, the trial before Pilate in the morning, the crucifixion by noon--”
    B:
Mark 15:42,43--"And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath..."
--Joseph of Arimathea went unto Pilate and requested the body of Jesus which he buried in his own tomb.
Mark 15:47--"And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid."”

“Matt. 26:20” belongs to “Nisan 14th”, correct!
But “Mark 15:42,43” and “Mark 15:47” belong to “Nisan 15 th”; and not “Nisan 14 th” or “Nisan 15 th” was “WEDNESDAY ”.

Then to crown it all, Freeatlast shoves the ENDING of “Nisan 15 th” Burial-day, in under “Nisan 14 th’s” ending—
skipping and simply waving every hour
from “evening having come” in Mark 14:17 Matthew 26:20 Luke 22:14 John 13:1
until mid-afternoon “the 9th hour” when
Jesus had died on Abib 14
    – 21 hours –
    until Mark 15:42 Matthew 27:57 John 19:31,38 Luke 23:50
“evening” when day had ended and next day had begun
    – another 3 hours –
until Luke 23:54 John 19:42 when Joseph had finished to bury the body
    – another 21 hours –
until Luke 23:56b when the Sabbath began
    – another 3 hours –
… ALL 48 hours of the TWO days of 14 and 15 Abib just skipped and simply waved!

Already buried before sunset on any day, means, “in Tomb ” on that same DAY.

Already buried before sunset on any day, means, “in Tomb ” on that same DAY.

    Why?
Freeatlast’s SOLE REASON and ‘proof’ for it, is, “Lev. 23:7--"...Ye shall do no servile work therein."”

    If “evening” in Mark15:42 meant night after sunset, it meant on the ‘sabbath’;
and if not buried yet, it meant Joseph had to bury Him on the ‘sabbath’—
which would mean Joseph transgressed “Lev. 23:7--"...Ye shall do no servile work therein."”

So move “evening” after sunset to ‘eve’ before sunset. In other words, make it on the FOURTEENTH and Crucifixion day before sunset, and not on the FIFTEENTH day and “Passover Sabbath … The Day of "Passover and Unleavened Bread"”.

All and only on strength of the assumption “Lev. 23:7--"...Ye shall do no servile work therein"” included ‘work’ like is described in the Gospels in Mark 15:42-46 Matthew 27:57-60 Luke 23:50-53 John 19:31-42 … WORK TO BURY a body on a ‘sabbath’, in this case “Passover Sabbath … The Day of "Passover and Unleavened Bread"”.

Now if the Scriptures DEMANDED AND COMMANDED exactly these ‘works’ about “that which remained” of the Passover Sacrifice of God?
Then of course Freeatlast’s hopes for a ‘Wednesday Crucifixion’ are gone; null and void; the fanciful invention of the false prophet Armstrong the father of the ‘Church of God’. The work of the devil.

    Freeatlast:
    WEDNESDAY Nisan 14th
    … Jesus … Crucified … Jesus buried …
THURSDAY Nisan 15th … Passover Sabbath (The Day of "Passover and Unleavened Bread")
    Jesus in Tomb …
    FRIDAY Nisan 16th
    … Jesus in Tomb …
    SATURDAY Nisan 17th … Seventh-Day Sabbath …
Luke 23:56--"And rested the sabbath day according to the commandment."
    Jesus in Tomb

Three full days of 24 hours each plus 3 hours on Wednesday give 72 PLUS hours of “Jesus in Tomb”.
Where is the Scripture for that?

    What’s worse:
Three full days sunset to sunset PLUS Wednesday, give FOUR days of Jesus, dead in death!
Which are the Scriptures for that?

    Freeatlast:
“FRIDAY Nisan 16th … Preparation Day of Seventh-Day Sabbath
Mark 16:1--"And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him."
Luke 23:56--"And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments...".

Mark 16:1 says “when the Sabbath was past”— making the buying of spices after the Sabbath.
Luke 23:56 says “they prepared spices and ointments … THEN BEGAN TO REST the Sabbath”— making their preparing of spices before the Sabbath.

Freeatlast’s COG ‘argument’ is, TWO, ‘sabbaths’.

Yes, two ‘sabbaths’, there were in Jesus’ last week— the week of the Passover of Yahweh. And yes, on two separate days they fell; but not on two days separated by one ‘secular day’ between them.

They were ‘back to back’ sabbaths …

    1) … the Feast-sabbath of Abib 15 the day the Burial was on and Sixth Day of the week [“The Jews therefore – since it was The Preparation Day … WHICH is the FORE-Sabbath … SO THAT the bodies should not REMAIN on the crosses BECAUSE THAT DAY, was great day of sabbath” of the passover, “asked Pilate … that they might be taken away.” John 19:31 Mark 15:42.] …

    and …

    2) … “the Sabbath” according to John 19:42 Luke 23:54 its beginning “by the time of the Jews’ preparations … mid-afternoon on the Preparation Day” the [Fourth] Commandment” then according to Mark 16:1 its ending then Matthew 27:62 referring back to it “the following morning after The Preparation”.

The main difference between Freeatlast’s erroneous COG view and the Gospel’s actual portrayal of events and days, comes down to “That Day” the Sixth Day (‘Friday’) having been BOTH “The Preparation” of the weekly Sabbath, as well as “the sabbath” that “was great day sabbath” of the passover— its “Feast Day of Unleavened Bread”, “sabbath”.

It happened by coincidence; yes— “according to their seasons” the Feast-sabbath of the passover TO COINCIDE with The Preparation which is The Fore-Sabbath” and “the day after” this “the sabbath” of the Feast of Passover. It happened by coincidence that the PROPHETIC “day” of the passover’s “Feast-sabbath” which Joseph OUGHT TO HAVE BURIED Jesus on, would be the day immediately before the day “Ye shall bring the First Sheaf Offering and wave it before the LORD”.

But it also happened as God determined it from before the foundation of the world and as God before the foundation of the world determined our salvation in Jesus Christ; so that God at the creation of the world and forevermore after, “the day The Seventh Day Sabbath of the LORD GOD, finished all the works of God” and “on the day The Seventh Day, from all his works, RESTED” in and through and by Jesus Christ in and through and by The First Sheaf Before the LORD BEING WAVED “SABBATH DAY’S FULLNESS”!

So Mark 16:1 undeniably mentions the very ‘Sabbath’ of the SEVENTH Day of the week. Mark 15:42 “The Preparation which is The …” one and ONLY “… Fore-Sabbath” of the Sixth Day of the week, ‘The Preparation Day’ of the ‘weekly Sabbath’ and of no ‘mid-week sabbath’ like “Passover Sabbath … The Day of "Passover and Unleavened Bread"”.

Luke obviously speaks of the selfsame Sabbath “according to the (Fourth) Commandment’

And BOTH Mark and Luke have to do with the “Sabbath” IMMEDIATELY before “the First day of the week”, Luke 23:56b/24:1 Mark 16:1/2.

Also Matthew in 27:62 “the morning after the Jews’ Preparation” – a ‘Sabbath-morning’ therefore – directly followed the day Joseph buried Jesus on, and he buried Jesus AFTER the women had prepared their spices— not before.

Yes, Joseph buried Jesus BEFORE the two Marys prepared their spices and ointments”; and the two Marys “and Salome bought sweet spices” AFTER, Joseph had buried Jesus AND “the Sabbath had passed” AFTER it— it, the very same “Sabbath the women began to rest on” after Joseph had closed the grave and he and they “had returned home”, and they “had prepared spices and ointments” BEFORE THIS, the very SAME “Sabbath Day according to the” FOURTH, “Commandment”.

Mark therefore speaks about the purchasing of spices the whole Sabbath Day and Friday afternoon after Joseph had closed the grave; and Luke speaks about the preparing of spices the afternoon still after Joseph had closed the grave.

Only the two Marys who are named were present when Joseph laid the body in the grave, Mark 15:41 Matthew 27:56, “went home and prepared spices” on Friday afternoon before sunset and “the Sabbath” they afterwards “rested” on. Luke 23:56a. The evening after sunset “after the Sabbath”, the two Marys “AND Salome also” left their homes, and “BOUGHT spices”. Obviously for Salome’s sake. “So that, when they would go (to the tomb) they might / could be able to anoint Him.” Mark 16:1b.

There is absolutely nothing in any Gospel that suggests an ‘ordinary week-day’ interrupting the unbroken following upon one another of The Preparation Day (‘Friday’) Joseph closed the grave and the two Marys prepared their spices, and the Sabbath Day after which they and Salome, bought spices for the latter’s sake.

The mere fact the women “after the Sabbath” after the Burial, “bought spices”, does not mean they could not before the Sabbath on Friday after the Burial, have prepared the spices they did have. And taking into account it was not the same women who prepared, who bought, endorses the fact the Sabbath after which they bought spices, came after the Preparation on which they prepared spices, and also endorses the fact that the Marys prepared spices on the same day as the Burial on the day before the ‘weekly Sabbath’, ‘Friday’ the Sixth Day of the week.

    Freeatlast:
“Jesus in Tomb …” SATURDAY Nisan 17th
Luke 23:56--"And rested the sabbath day according to the commandment."
Matt. 28:2--"And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it."
    Seventh-Day Sabbath Jesus in Tomb
    Resurrection at Sundown”

    Critique:
Jesus was in his tomb on the Seventh Day of the week, from the night of it which in the world’s terms was ‘Friday night’, until what in the world’s terms was “SATURDAY”, not “at Sundown”, but in Bible terms, “In the end of the Sabbath— in the mid-afternoon on it as the day began inclining towards the First Day of the week”. Matthew 28:1.

But NO! it was not “Jesus in Tomb …” SATURDAY …” who “… rested the sabbath day”; it was “the _women_”, who “SATURDAY … rested the sabbath day”.

Jesus “rested” not, by having been ‘in tomb(ed)’; but Jesus “rested” by having been RAISED from the dead “SABBATH’S”!

    And NO! Matt. 28:2
    — “And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it … Resurrection” —,
    did not occur “Seventh-Day Sabbath … at Sundown”;
    as WRITTEN, it occurred,
“In the end / last part / fullness of the Sabbath in the mid-afternoon on it as the daylight began inclining towards the First Day of the week”. Matthew 28:1.

    Therefore,
    Freeatlast,
    “SUNDAY Nisan 18th
… Discovery of the Resurrection …
Luke 24:1--"Now upon the first day of the week, very early on the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them."
Luke 24:2--"And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre."
Luke 24:3--"And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus."
Lev. 23:10,11--"...Then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest...On the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it" …

    … is WRONG!

Luke 24:1--"Now upon the first day of the week, very early on the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them" …”

… was exactly what it says, namely,

    1) “Luke 24:2--"And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre"” …

… just like Mary Magdalene earlier that night "while being early darkness still”, must have told them after she had seen it "removed from the grave". John 20:1

    … and,

    2) “Luke 24:3--"And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus"”.

“But “their (own) words seemed to them (as to the disciple) as idle tales, and they (all) believed them (the two angels who told the women Jesus “is risen” :6) NOT.” :11.

So No! It was “Discovery of the Resurrection” … NOT YET!

It was but the women’s FIRST VISIT AT the tomb.

First "discovery of the Resurrection" would occur NEXT MORNING IN EARLY DAYLIGHT as, "He, early on the First Day of the week, APPEARED to Mary Magdalene ... first of all as the Risen One." Mark 16:9.

And second "discovery of the Resurrection" would occur next after "the angel had explained to the women ... and as they went ... Jesus MET THEM", Matthew 28:9.

And third "discovery of the Resurrection" would occur "late ... on the First Day of the week ... and the day was far spent", and the following night after, to the men-disciples.
