The effects of Democrat vs. Republican policies on oil.

Why do the democrats want to lower the price of oil? The high price forces the American people to use less oil, thus less greenhouse gasses and carbon emissions, thus less global warming. To the liberals high prices should be a good thing. If the democrats are successful in getting the price of gasoline down to $2.00 a gallon then we will start driving bigger cars again and doing alot of unessasary driving and the supply will dwindle and we will be right back where we started. Right? What am I missing here?

 

They dont. They just want an issue to do nothing about. it looks good and they dont really have to commit to it if they can blame others.
