For a moment there I thought this was about yet another professing Christian denying the Lord of the Bible .

The basic idea of sovereignty, which still provides a useful constraint on violence between states, needs to be preserved. But the concept needs to be adapted to a world in which the main challenges to order come from what global forces do to states and what governments do to their citizens, rather than from what states do to one another.

C., said in order to "fully participate in the global economy and not have institutions regulate that economy, sovereignty has got to be sacrificed ." He went on to say that if we are in a global economy, we need to ask ourselves, Where is the Security and Exchange Commission and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for the global economy?
