This adulation is getting out of hand, but maybe we had better learn the chant that I put on another thread, just in case O-BA-MA wins.

The O-BA-MA chant that many do (O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA) has an interesting harmony to it.

If you have seen the modern version of The Mummy, where all of the whacked out Arab dudes are chanting A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, you can slide O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, right in there.

It goes like this (now sing along all you Obama fanatics:

    A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!
    A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!
    A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!
    A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!
    A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!
    A-MEN-HO-TEP, A-MEN-HO-TEP, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!

OH! I have seen the light, O-BA-MA will make all things new, children will flock to him, money will fall down from the sky, just send your money, and we will send you this anointing oil cloth, which was prayed over by the great O-BA-MA himself...naaaa, that's the Benny Hinn routine.

O-BA-MA has much better hair than Benny. Not as much substance as Jesse Duplantis or R.W. Shambach, but better hair.

    Chant away O-people!

MajorB, I like the way you think. I was Army (airborne infantry) and it would have been an honor to serve under your command.

Besides that, my last CO was a marathon runner and thought that all of us should be too.

Political adulation is nothing new - kind of like the current adulation for the Gov of Alaska from some circles.

Supporting some one does not necessarily mean that you see them as the anointed one.

I don't think they're portraying Obama the way the have been. The "Millions worship him....wouldn't you like to, too?" Thing backfired. Some around here haven't got the memo, yet

C4K is right. Obama is not the 4th member of the Trinity. Neither is Ronald Reagan.

I had not planned to watch the video, but the above comment whetted my appetite!!

Glad I did - couldn't understand more than 10% of the dialogue (I do have a hearing problem), but the obvious physical manifestations did seem appropriate to ascribe to certain members of this esteemed board; which shall remain un-named!!!!!:thumbs:

    I agree with Bro. Curtis...

I do believe these boys are just like his pinions...

Blindly leading the candidate of death.

It is easy to see, when people that support him are blindly ignoring the fact that Obama worked with Acorn, and is partly responsible for the economic crisis....

All Obama has to do is say something and his pinions believe it is Gospel.

I wonder which color shirts will be chosen for them--brown and black have already been taken.

The candidate of death is anyone who continues Bush's disastrous policy in Iraq.

I really do find it amazing that deaths from a war are equated to the pre-meditated slaughter of cherubic innocents. (And this has zilch to do with whether you agree with the war or not.)

No wonder this nation is in a moral abyss; satan's minions are working overtime to cloud logical thinking.

One would think that those who name the name of Christ would have a more discerning take on the policies of the big "O" than seems to be the case with many of the participants here.

Calling anyone "The Candidate of Death" is an ideological attempt to distort an objective discussion of the questions at issue by an appeal to emotion.

Bush initiated the second Gulf War.

Obama supports abortion rights for mothers.

Both of those points can be discussed and their relative merits compared without resorting to name-calling.

Which one? It's a rebuilding year. Houston Nutt left while the getting was good. He knew he could not survive a down year like this with so much of the fan base against him.
