I know that many on the BB also frequent the FFF. When I try to get to those boards today, I'm getting a message that says that domain has expired:

Doe's anyone know what's up with the FFF?

Sounds like the fighting fundamentalists forgot to pay the light bill.

This can be a mix up with the bill collectors. My bills are paid up for all this year and I had this same problem on tow of my sites for a couple of days.

Well if they don't take care of it quickly, anyone can buy that domain name.

Praise the Lord! ;) </font>
In many respects, that was my first thought too. :D

There were some things of interest at times though.

We REALLY old-timers on the BB can remember several years ago, when the FFF had troubles with its site and for a short while was a sub-category on the BB.
There were certainly cultural differences between them and the rest of the BB. LOL
Every once in a while I lurk at the FFF to see who is still there. Several people were heavy posters both there and here for a long time.
But I haven't seen any trace of them either place for a long time. CorpseNoMore, where are you?

</font>
You really should try the FFF sometime. I get bored with this place easily, everyone here is much too civil. :D The FFF has more characters than an afternoon of Springer and Soap Operas (the BaptistBoard's own Dr. Bob included.)

No thanks. First, I'd never have my name associated with Jack Hyles. Secondly, I'm NOT a fighter and NOT fundamental enough for the IFB fundamentalist and have would never watch a Soap Opera or Springer. I'll stay here and spread the SBC Love.

</font>
I think your name is now officially associated with Jack Hyles due to these posts. BTW, I'm a lover and not a fighter as well. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I used to go to FFF as well. It just got too much for me. I have to really fight having a bitter spirit. I cut my teeth on that brand of fundamentalism and I've been trying to change my attitude ever since I left it. That was over fifteen years ago. I still haven't made much progress. Thank God for His mercy. I just wish I was a little more like Him and a lot less like the people I made my heroes during my formative years.

I've always thought that "Fightin' Fundamentalists" could be taken two ways. Either it means "people who are fundamentalists who also fight." It could also be "people who fight fundamentalists." In actual truth, it's both.
Isn't it interesting how some people make a virtue out of the "works of the flesh"?

Hey, man, I am a glad fighting fundamentalist. And when the barroom brawl gives me a headache, I occasionally pop in over here to see what's up in the tea room. No works of the flesh, though. Just occasional entertainment and some sharpening debate. Works of the flesh could be such things as those who stand and say, "God, I thank thee that I am not as others, murderers, unjust, or even as this publican..."

Kumbaya my Lord, Kumbaya...

Just kidding. Seriously though. If you want to have a debate with people who tell you what they want without the fear of the forum moderators coming down on them, then the FFF is the place to go. Sure, the lack of moderating allows for some problems with "trolling", and the occasional off-color post, but noone walks on eggshells or gets their post edited either. Pick your poison, I'll take freedom from censorship anyday. [IMG]

Hmmm....maybe I'll go buy it and put up a Fundamentalist Forum that has some class and a positive testimony for Jesus Christ, instead of the nastiness and spiritual immaturity the world sees on many of those threads. Only the over 50 crowd would be able to log in and it would be EXTREMELY moderated. [IMG] [IMG] :D [IMG]

Are you suggesting that those of us under 50 are immature? :D
