    Lol, oh, you reminded me of the first land navigation course I did after getting to my unit. My sergeant hated spiders, and made me walk five paces in front of him through the woods holding up a big stick to clear away the webs.

    My mother's in her later years and still leading walks at the nature preserve.
    She usually has someone go in front to clear the path of snakes.
