The first thing I did the day after Obama was elected.....was buy one of these:

Get 'em while they are available! [IMG]

True story...the seller told me that if they get 40 rifles/hand guns in one day, 40 are sold the next...

No problem with guns, I'm a Libertarian.
I do take issue with paranoia.

    Gun sales have increased :

    "
Besides self-protection, gun experts and gun users at the Gun Store say they are also concerned about what the next President may do about gun control.

"Some people are coming in due to the election coming up - kind of to hedge their bets, or get what they want before it may be banned," says Randy. "The concern is that the price of guns and ammo are going to skyrocket with any kind of ban in the future."

    http://www.kvbc.com/global/story.asp?s=9236401

"MEMPHIS, TN -- The Presidential election is just days away, and while many are concerned about the economy, some are concerned about gun laws.

Many in the Mid-South are heading to pawn shops and gun dealers to stock up on guns and amo. Dabb's Gun and Pawn in Southaven, Mississippi says since Barack Obama jumped up in the polls a few weeks ago, their sales have done the same. Owner Monte Dabb says they have been selling 5 to 10 guns more a day than just three weeks ago, all because of the election. "

Americans have cut back on buying cars, furniture and clothes in a tough economy, but there's one consumer item that's still enjoying healthy sales: guns. Purchases of firearms and ammunition have risen 8 to 10 percent this year, according to state and federal data.

Several variables drive sales, but many dealers, buyers and experts attribute the increase in part to concerns about the economy and fears that if Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois wins the presidency, he will join with fellow Democrats in Congress to enact new gun controls. Obama has said that he believes in an individual right to bear arms but that he also supports "common-sense safety measures.

Looks like some arms dealer saw you coming and took advantage of your paranoia to make a quick buck!

    Ps. 20:7
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
    (KJV)

BTW, I am a proud gun owner, but I don't depend on them to have faith in God.

Your a little twisted there buddy. I love guns. Will a liberal wack-job like Obama go after another assault rifle ban? Could be...dems have done it before.

I was sharing this as a bit of political humor and fun. Obviously that went over your head.

Whose paranoid? Have you drank the same cool-aid as the other feller? lol

Let me say this simple so you can understand...under the radical liberal like Obama we could get an assualt rifle ban....meaning no more purchases....so I got what I have wanted for a long time.

And the gun shop I hope made a bundle on the weapon. That's called business.

Better stock up on bullets, while they're still legal.

Sorry, I've been a bit trigger happy with my comments.
I live in a pretty nice neighborhood, but my house has been broken into 3 times in the past few months and last night my car window was broken and some items were stolen.
I have no problem with anyone defending themselves.
    again.
    Sorry RB.

No prob Monk. Sorry to hear about the break-ins. I leave my truck parked outside and have been concerned about that too. Time for house alarms I think...

I'd rather have a dog than a gun. That picture of the gun is scary.

In fact, we lived for several years in a neighborhood where there were break-ins and even two shootings. Every house on the street was broken into except ours because we had 2 dogs (including a German shepherd, bless her heart - I still miss her!).

We often left our cars unlocked because they were so old. People opened the doors and searched them but we didn't have anything valuable so we lost nothing.
