The future of NASA is Ares. Ares is the vehicle that will replace the current space shuttles at the end of their run. There are two Ares rockets. The first is Ares I which is the crew launch vehicle. The second is Ares V which will launch cargo (etc). You can see pictures of the new vehicle by clicking here. There are several videos on that page you might be interested in as well.

Also, Space Shuttle Atlantis is set to fly on August 27.

    waste of money

Except for the Hubbel telescope, the current program has been a waste of money accomplishing zero scientific descoveries.

They said the same thing about the X-33, didn't they? I believe in the next 10 years private companies will development and build reliable space vehicles to ferty supplies up into space. The Ansari X-Prize has really got the ball rolling with several companies developing unmanned launch vehicles, and manned spcae vehicles.
