Today is the 130th birthday of Jaroslav Hašek, the author of "The Good Soldier Šveck" that wonderful passive-aggressive soldier who has brought pleasure and laughter to so many readers. It is said that a person will never understand the Czech people, their culture or character unless they have read this book.
