    THE HIGHWAY OF HOLLINESS.

    Isaiah 35.8-10

8."And a highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness (Isaiah 11.16, 19.23, 35.8, 40.3, 43.19, 49.11, 62.10).

The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it.

9.No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it, these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there,

10.and ransomed of the Lord will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion. With everlasting joy upon their heads, they will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing (moaning) will flee away."

This particular highway mentioned only in the Book of Isaiah, and the prophecy itself is quite amazing.

Jews always returning to their homeland and this being happen since they being exiled in Assyrian and Babylon, but they returning not in great numbers.

But this prophecy of Isaiah indicates very large and almost world-wide exodus of Jews from all corners of the globe to their original homeland, the land of Israel.

This particular Highway will be only for those who are redeemed and ransomed by GOD.

It looks like that Lord GOD Himself will lay this Highway for His people Israel who are scattered all over the globe.

In Isaiah 19.23-25 is written that a certain Highway will run from Egypt to Assyria.

But in other places of His Book Isaiah wrote a little bit different about this "Highway."

    Isaiah 11.16

16."And there will be a highway from Assyria for the remnant of His people who will be left, just as there was for Israel in the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt (Isaiah 19.23, 27.12-13, 35.8).

So it seems that it will be a Highways that will connect three major countries, Egypt, Assyria, and Israel, and for some reason Jews will return to their homeland from and through Egypt and Assyria.

And here is one interesting comparison can be made.

    Isaiah 51.10-11

10."Was it not You Who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, Who made the depths of the sea a pathway for the redeemed to cross over?

11.So the ransomed of the Lord will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, and everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing (moan, groan) will flee away."

The verse 10 definitely talks here about crossing of the Red (Reed) Sea when Israelites made exodus from Egypt and when the Lord their GOD divided waters for them to cross over. In this verse it called as "Pathway."

The only difference is in the direction of travel. At the time of Moses redeemed Israelites came from Egypt to Canaan to possess the Promised Land as their everlasting inheritance, but in quotes I presented here they actually returning to their homeland by the land Highway, also made for them by the Lord their GOD.

So it seems in the history of Israel will be two major event, one already happened when by the "Pathway" of GOD Israel cross the waters of the Red Sea and came to the land of Canaan to inherit it, the second major event will happen in the future when Israel will return to their homeland by the land "Highway," also provided by their GOD, in order to settle again in their own land and to stay in it forever.
