If anyone is offended by my comments, well, as my spiritual advisor said, "that's their choice." Doesn't it say a lot about the Christian community that this sort of book is at the top of bestseller lists, while other books about prayer and holiness and doctrinal matters are at the bottom?

I also enjoyed reading the series. I know that everything in them is not biblical, but they are a good read for anyone who knows better and are not misled by them.

Some time back, I read all books in the series up to now.

Overall, I found them to be a good read, though I noticed that odd habit of repeating things again and again in the book (almost like "yes, I know, you already mentioned that in the last book!")

Being that the Rapture is very important to me, I am enthused by the series. Though I am not going to get into it with anyone about the theology behind it, I find the books to be a good message to those who may have never had the Gospel preached to them, and so through these books they may begin the path that leads to them accepting Jesus as their savior.

Also, I hope the series gets through to my Roman Catholic wife, daughters, and family. I truly do fear being raptured myself, while they get "left behind." I have the books around the house, and hope that my wife and daugthers will read them some day.

Just noticed my Hotmail Inbox is advertising "Left Behind", or more precisely the "Left Behind Prophecy Club". "COULD THE ANTICHRIST BE ALIVE TODAY?" it asks me. "Join the LEFT BEHIND Prophecy Club and find out! Start now by viewing a free sample." No, that's okay, you keep it.

Like on this board, the Bible reading and prayer forums are the least active. What does that say? It doesn't do anyone any good to feel bad about what they like or dislike. We're responsible for our own choices. What people think about us, shouldn't make a ripple in our consciousness.

I stopped caring about being accepted by the masses when I turned 40. What a blessing not to care what people think about me anymore. [IMG] Such freedom in watching the show and not being very affected by it. ;)
