Another point is the continuation of Bush's failed mideast policies by the current prez. Seems like preparing for war in Pakistan, Somalia, Darfur, & North Korea indicate a lack of ability to learn from mistakes. I guess it's OK, because those wars will also be blamed on Bush, right ?

Like I said, the honest people dig for truth. You said Bush fed them false information. Now you say others provided him that info. I don't think you really know what you are talking about.

He could not make the decision by himself. Our constitution prevents it. He needed congressional approval, which he received. Both parties worked hard for this illegal war, and intelligent, honest folks will hold both parties responsible.

People provided information to him, that was their job. He used the information. All presidents do that.

And I said they were stupid to support him ... but of course many voted the way they did so they would not make the folks back home mad, they all wanted to be re-elected.

But it was Bush who gave the order for the war to begin ... this it was and is his war and will also be known as his war.

Let us hope and pray that the current president or any future president is not that stupid.

Bush ignored N. Korea and it was and is much more dangerous than Iraq ever was. Of course Bush also knew that invading N. Korea would not end in a short war. He really believed the Iraq war should be short ... remember his "Mission Accomplished," That was when I decided he knew nothing about the history of the Arab culture and history.

Well, I have decided you don't know much about it, either.

Now you are blaming the electorate for "Bush's" war. You are saying the dems put their own careers first. You are saying they supported an illegal war because they didn't want to lose their seat. And the you call it "Bush's" war. That is the most backward thing you have said, yet. Like I said, honest people will put the blame where it belongs. I think that's the third time, now. I'll leave you to your ignorant hatred.

And yet another unchecked personal attack on a more liberal board member. Let's rewrite the rules to be honest...personal attacks are okay if you are coming from the right, but not from the left. After all, Jesus was nothing if not honest.

    What attack ?

Anything to add except the whining ? I mean, care to address any of the facts ? Or is it your contention that this is solely Bush's war ?

Isn't it curious that Bill Clinton promised that we would only be in Bosnia for 12 months and yet we are still there.

You certainly come in with some interpretations from way out in left .... ooops, right field. History will call it the war Bush started. It does not matter to me if you agree or not.

    Have a blessed day.

It's liberal math. Depends on what "is" is.....

It's a great example of the liberal dishonesty. It's Ok when they ignore facts.

    It Was Reagan, Not Congress
    http://zfacts.com/p/57.html

Some say Reagan had nothing to do with the debt's U turn. They say it was Congressional Democrats. Not true. Had things worked out just as Reagan proposed and predicted, the debt still would have gone up 85% as much. But even this is deceptive. The reason his predicted savings did not materialize was not Congress. The reason was that he predicted much more economic growth from supply-side magic than actually happened. So he counted on taxes that were never collected to help his budgets. In fact a study by the House found that Reagan asked for $29.4 billion more in spending than Congress passed.

From the White House: The Reagan-Bush Debt Explained
"The traditional pattern of running large deficits only in times of war or economic downturns was broken during much of the 1980s. In 1982 [Reagan's first budget year], partly in response to a recession, large tax cuts were enacted. However, these were accompanied by substantial increases in defense spending. Although reductions were made to non defense spending, they were not sufficient to offset the impact on the deficit. As a result, deficits averaging $206 billion were incurred between 1983 and 1992. These unprecedented peacetime deficits increased debt held by the public from $789 billion in 1981 to $3.0 trillion (48.1% of GDP) in 1992."

From "Historical Tables, Budget of the U.S. Government, Fiscal Year 2006." Downloaded from www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/fy2006/pdf/hist.pdf. Page 5.

The Neo-cons called for the invasion of Iraq before Bush's election. If you are referring to that you are correct. But this had nothing to do with WMD or whatever it was that Bush used as an excuse to go to war.

Funny how you are more offended by the accusation of posting here before than you are the accusation of plagerism.......

Actually, Al Gore first used the term "WMD", when it came to Iraq. But we've been thru all that. Look at the entire thread.

A lot of people here use quotes from experts to support their argument. If everyone will always give the name, date, and internet site (if applicable) in their posts I'll do the same.

Baloney. You copied & pasted his work without quotes. Show me one other poster who does it. You still haven't even admitted you did it. That's being very dishonest, on two counts, on this very thread. Your credibility is zero.
