I will set no wicked thing before my eyes

This applies to the home and the theatre. I really don't see a problem with going to the theatre per se, but many good points have been made here. You can get so into the entertainment scene that you lose your priorities. Besides there are maybe a half-dozen decent movies a year that you can watch without a TV Guardian.

Many of the arguments about the theatre itself being a sin, don't hold water, but there are many reasons to be careful with any entertainment media. Look at the Internet, it does allow us to have a place to discuss pertinent issues, and my work is made much easier by using it, but there is a large amount of trash as well, you have to be very careful.

The stumbling block issue could be used about any form of media, I don't assume just because someone has a computer, that they are addicted to internet porn, yet some would assume that because I walk into the Star 25 and go see Monster's Inc., that I must be watching the latest R-rated trash. You can carry that to TV, VCR's DVD players, Radio, Bookshelves, etc. After all, I don't really know what you are watching, listening to, or reading.
