The Myth of Republican Conservatism

It's a shame, though, that Medved apparently did his best to attack a brother in Christ who is doing all he can to make a difference in American politics.

 

When the present CP efort started up, I did not expect a huge level of support from the Christian community as a whole, since it is still trapped in the "lesser evil" quagmire.

I'm not very often taken by surprise in politics, but I must say that the level of scorn and hatred heaped upon the CP and Mr. Peroutka for their Christian stand is more than I expected.

 

Oh, you mean that you are defending Michael Anthony Peroutka because he is a brother in Christ and Michael Medved is a Jew. I misunderstood you. I thought that you were saying that Medved behaved improperly towards his fellow Christian.

You are still trying to make this a personal issue. It is not. It is a political issue. It deals with same-sex marriage, abolition of foreign aid, ending the war against terror, and the election of Kerry. I think that it is clear that the Constitution Party has become an ally of Kerry.

I have clearly taken my positions based on issues and policies. The fact that I didn't realize that Medved is not a Christian should prove that. Perhaps I mis-read that you were accusing me of bigotry, after a more careful reading I suppose you weren't.

Listen to the hate pouring out of the right wing. If you have a right winger for a friend, you really don't have a friend at all. Now the categories of oriental and occidental are classified as racist by Pennsylvania Jim and Galatian. It is now hate speech, according to those two, to say that Israel is in the orient and Jews are oriental peoples and Peroutka is occidental. Actually, it is more than hate speech, it is racism.

This from the Constitution Party that says that Israel is no longer deserving of American foreign aid even if another holocaust ensues.

Pennsylvania Jim and Galatian, you two peas in a pod should give it a rest about how Christian that you are. Besides, you are going to break you arm patting yourselves on your own backs all day long. Most people are glad that the CP is a bust because of its silly ideas about war and the role of the USA in the international community. That and the fact that Peroutka is not the sort of person that anyone with half a brain would want for his lawyer. We already have plenty of ill-tempered lawyers in politics. You two think oriental-occidental is a racial category.
