    Bro Curtis,

You know that I am quite fond of you; however, there are times when you really need to calm down and think through your response before you click on "submit reply."

    1. I did not call you a "neocon." Actually, I never called anyone a "neocon." I simply made a statement. Go back and read what I wrote, and you will find this to be true.

    2. I have never identified myself as a Chomsky fan. I do admit to enjoying his writings; nevertheless, I am a right-winger compared to Mr. Chomsky. I do not share many of his beliefs/opinions/viewpoints/thoughts.

    3. Kristol has written some brilliant articles. I do not share his opinion on many things (By Kristol, I am referring to Irving). He is considered by many to be one of the fathers of Neoconservatism.

Based upon my experiences and exchanges with you, I don't know if I would consider you to be a "neocon." Bear in mind that this is simply a public forum, and I don't personally know you, but you don't seem to espouse all of their ideals or viewpoints. The only person I ever saw identify themselves as a "neocon" was the now-departed Joseph. Even then, I don't think he really understood what that term meant.

If you truly want to know what a "neocon" is, then I would suggest you read anything by Kristol, either one: father or son. Don't take my word for it: read it for yourself. You are smart, Bro. Curtis - I have faith in your ability to discern.

As for the thought that the "neocon moment is over," not a chance.
Did you see who was nominated by the President to replace the Neoconservative at the World Bank? Yep, you guessed it: another Neoconservative.

    Regards, hope all is well,
    BiR

You should have said Irving Kristol. I've read a little Bill Kristol, and could not imagine you reading him. That's who I thought you meant. I see Irving is his dad, I never knew that. I never heard of him before I looked him up.

But I want the people who use the word, to tell me what it means, not point to someone else's description.

I would describe them exactly as they describe themselves. But you can discern for yourself, so I would recommend reading what they have written. It is more accurate for them to describe themselves to you, rather than reading what I think of them.

    Hope this helps,

By the way, did everyone notice who was nominated to run the World Bank, succeeding the man who is arguably the worst WB president ever?

    Yet another Neoconservative......
