God inspired the original writers of the scriptures. Once these were penned they were copied. The copies themselves were not inspired, but rather they carried what Mexdeaf describes as "derived inspiration" in that they are copies of what was originally inspired. The chain from the original writings and today remains unbroken.

The same can be said of any translation that is true to the source texts. They all have "derived inspiration" in that they are faithful translations of the original inspired texts. No translation or manuscript is/was inspired when it was printed by man as that only happened at the time God inspired the original authors.

Yes, it really is that simple and any child can easily understand it.

So, you go on about two streams. Last time I checked they were both of the same bible. Yes, there are some differences due to the copying over the many centuries and probably due to some trying to help God out with clarifications or additions and subtractions because such is the nature of man, and these happened in both streams. Thankfully we have enough manuscripts to be able to find where these changes were made.

I find it funny that you are so sure that everyone at Alexandria were Gnostics and philosophers. I seriously doubt that you were there, or that your "sources" were there. Even Sodom had Lot so it is most likely there was a remnant in Alexandria as well. Even if there wasn't I know atheists who are better versed in the bible and theology than 95% of the Christians any of us know and none of them bother to try to distort the bible or theology but rather try to focus on their perceived discrepancies (which they no longer try to discuss with me).

I am sure you mean well, Johnathan, and I can respect that. You would do well to do some digging of your own outside of the KJVO writings and see what is and what is not with your own eyes. I did and I discovered that the pig in the poke was just a poke with a lot of wind and lies in it.
