Aw shucks, I hate hearing about sick old animal mates, my heart goes out for you Jim and Sheila.

We know that they are animals but we still get really upset, I will pray for you Sheila that you have the strength required, and Jim of course.

Granny I will say a prayer that your house gets put back together real quick, I have a spare room.......

    Hello everyone [IMG]

I am pleased and very relieved to say that since lunchtime Leo is much better. He has even eaten some supper and has been playing with his toys.
Thank you so much for your prayers and concern.
I hope you are all having a good day. What's the weather like over the pond? It has been very grey and intermittently wet here. LOL, our typical British weather. [IMG]

    Blessings

    Sheila

granny, when my older daughter was a youngster, she was going to leave home. I packed a bag and put her on front stoop. It was dark out and the lane is 1/4 miles through the woods. About fifteen minutes later the front door opend and in she walks. I asked why she wasn't leaving home...She said, Think I'll wait until morning.

Next time she left home she got married.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Sheila,

Glad your dog is chipper again.

Weather is lovely here. Sunny and warming up. Sounds like you are getting typical welly weather for April.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Granny - I'm a stopping in for a few seconds. Been with the children and grandchildren all day. I know why God gives us our children when we are young - cause I don't think I could handle it as an old man!

Did you get your lawn mowed yet. I'm afraid by the time I get home - I'll have to start mowing my lawn.

    Have a good evening everyone!

    Dan

That's exactly why we have our children when we are young, broDan! I couldn't handle it either. Yup, got da yard mowed by 2 of my grandsons...conned em into thinking I've got a snazzy sharp mower...the younger one is gitting himself one just like it, haha. The 12yr old has a touch of cerebral palsy, so he went ahead of the 11yr old picking up the sticks/pinecones,etc, & they had it going on, ha! It was fun watching & my dalmation loved helping. She can't quite figure out the mower...it doesn't make any noise.

Someone threw a golfball at us today on the streets when we were holding our signs. OUCH! could've really been serious.

No trouble from this moderator - If I yelled at you - I'd be accused of throwing stones in a glass house - as some folks like to think that over half of my posts are double posts!

I think that there's a better use for golf balls - than throwing them at you - the throwers ought to be ashamed of themselves!

    Good morning!

Thunder storms, rain and lightning is expected to-day, and already the clouds are assembling to do their dastardly deed.

Granny, I quite agree that golf balls would not be pleasant missiles. You could reap a benefit, however. Collect the balls and sell them back to the golfers.

I thought about collecting golf balls one time, but wasn't sure how I would handle the golfers chasing me.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I LOVE thunderstorms-tho' distant lightning preferred!

I've never understood the thrill of golf, even when I lived right across the street from where the Masters were played(living in Georgia in the early '60s).

    broDan~youse a GREAT mod!

Granny, are you saying that Dan is a part of the Mod Squad? They are outnumbering us peons these days.

Someone said that golf is like watching paint dry. I don't understand chasing a little white ball around a park just to whack it again.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Hi again,

I have been thinking about another pastor to write the daily devotionals. Oh, I am not giving up. I have another idea in mind.

It is a discussion thread where folk can discuss, not debate, but discuss the ramifications and nuances of the various devotionals. Just how they apply in different situations, or how the principle and concepts can be best utilized in the Christian walk.

    Just a thought,

    Cheers,

    Jim

On the trip to Vermont - we went half way - stayed in a motel - then finished up the next day.

Yesterday - we drove the entire trip in 12 hours - the kids make it in 7.5 hours (I'm not sure what that is in metric! [IMG] ) - it was an unusually warm day - had the air conditioning on most of the trip!

Sheila - expect several postcards - I haven't had time to mail them yet - but expect them!

Dan - tired - but very glad we had the time with the kids, their spouses, and the grandkids!
