Ken, I would love for you to post a picture of yourself.

I have been under the assumption that you were an adult, but this thread makes you appear closer to the age of 10 or 12.

Or maybe you just have too much free time - hmmmmm????

I read as far as the quote (page 3 I think?) and fired off my response.

Sad to say this is one of the ones that I felt a bit uneasy about, but I let my emotions over-rule the prompting to "think & consider" a bit more before submitting.

There have been many that never saw the light of day because of the delay.

Anyway, after I read the next few pages, I knew I was going to have to apologise for my undue haste and lack of yielding to His spirit's prompting.

So, Ken, I apologise for my unnecessary and hateful reply!

    Forgive me??

    No problem.

    I certainly deserved the razzing.

Ken, I'm not bothering to read this long string:
Admittedly, I'm answering to the title of this thread

    Which suggests to me

Many a time I have opened this section and seen a series of many posts in succession, supporting Obama, and started by you....... and wondered 'just why doesn't he consolidate and continue the input in a thread he's already opened?'

No offense: But, even though I still support Ron Paul, I felt the same way when it was him being promoted by serial OP's. I am interested in Chuck Baldwin of the Constitutional Party. I realize people only wish to consider and vote for winners.... so they wont even do a search on him..... and I realize I'm not of a persuasive bent to influence others. Some people are gifted more in finding and pointing out problems.....which others cannot see.... but others, who may not see until something is exposed, are gifted more in areas of bringing solutions.

The President which we elect this year, may be the globalist leader which leads our nation in the uniting of nations in the globalist plan: It may be working to the fullfillment of prophecy and the development of the one world power. The Bible is clear to me: It warns those who believe it is true that these things will come to past: It also indicates that such power is a trust and comes from the people who brings it into power.... and it is anti-God, amoral, and evil: The Bible is clear that we are to resist evil..... and it is clear that any who resist will do so with some possible peril for their resistance: While we still appear to have choices..... I will chose for my self and my Lord, to make the best choices I can: But I remind myself continually, I follow and trust in my God and Savior: No man in power and in this age will ever deserve my alllegiance and trust. The best we can elect are still just flesh and blood. There is spiritual powers behind good and evil: Everyone who rules with or over us, needs our prayers and godly direction/inspiration, to be righteous and just in their rule.

I am well aware of Pastor Baldwin and I think well of him.

I think your advice is sound and going forward I plan to follow it. :)

Ken don't apologize when you are just stating your feelings and opinions in politics....

I enjoy a good heated debate in politics, and I know that even though we stand sometimes at opposite ends of the political spectrum... in the end, we will unite under one King... the King of Kings...

Besides, an election yr wouldn't be as fun if everyone got along...

That is the art of American politics! I love watching, engaging, and enjoying political debates! Heck, I even love watching the British Parliment argue!

We all vent sometimes... but I never, ever take political vents personal... and I hope others don't take me personal as well...

I love playing political games... (in the secular world.. I abhor church politics... but that is a different animal)

So, to make this short.. .I appreciate someone that can apologize when they feel they need too... but we all like you, and expect you to be who God created you to be!

(BTW... I am sorry if I offend others with my rants... I am just playing the political game... I really love you guys and gals!)

Hey, look at it this way... come 02/09, we will all be on the same side!
We will all hate the choice America made!

Know matter who gets it this yr.. I will not be happy.

    Make that two of us!!

Basically I compare it to losing a $100 bill, or losing a $100 AND a $20 - both bad, one a litte worse.

Being Christlike and pointing out MAJOR moral and policy shortcomings of a candidate is not mutually exclusive. Christians aren't handcuffed in pointing out dangerous political figures.

Of course not, but that is not what is being discussed. It is the unChristian character assassination, gossip and lies that seem to abound around here.

What is lies and what is truth about BHO is a matter of opinion. What is truth and what is gossip is a matter of opinion. Whether something is character assassination on BHO is also a matter of opinion. Only time will tell as the real truth will eventually come out, perhaps after he is sworn in, should he become POTUS.

References to Mr. Obama's middle name of "Hussein" have only one purpose - to attempt to insinuate a connection between Mr. Obama and the shadowy and sinister forces of Islamic extremism. Or to appeal to xenophobia.

This is a deeply sub-Christian tactic and should be rebuked by obedient Christians.

And lest there be any attempts to stifle such rebukes using the "off-topic" argument: The reference to "Hussein" is itself off-topic, so people do not get a free pass at this kind of rhetoric while responses to it are deemed off-topic.

I could not agree more. As MP has pointed out, though, many (if not the majority) of anti-Obama posts clearly involve doing politics using the same tactics as the world does it - through rhetoric, demonizing, innuendo, etc.

The church has to stop doing a strip-tease for the world by suggesting that within the church they can continue with the status quo.

So now a person should not call a person by their name because it is not PC? It's his name... And that is the truth... Not just an opinion...

How come we never hear the other candidate's middle names? I think we all know the answer. How we then act on that answer discloses whether we are adopting the world's way of doing politics or whether we are taking the gospel way.

I would submit to you that since over 3000 Americans died in the 911 attacks by the hands of Muslim terrorists, and since we are fighting a war on terror in a Muslim nation, that is fit and proper to fully examine any candidate to be our commander in cheif, especially if they have a Muslim name, and come from a family with a muslim background. Hence, his name is very relevant.
