My "position" is saved by grace. What I do is seasonal and because I love God.

Deacon, SS teacher, choir president, committee member. The way my throat felt this morning I was on my way to being a yowler. Hey, Sopranette, maybe we can start a clique for yowlers. :D

Right now, choir member and committee member. I don't get to warm a pew cause the choir loft doesn't have them! :D

Now it seems some of our choir members have been pew warmers instead. To bad they sat where the music director could see them.

I help teach on Wednesday nights; my friend and I, along with another lady teach the first and second graders. We usually split them into two groups, and the other lady takes half while my friend and I take the other half. See, she has a bad right shoulder and I have a bad left shoulder, so we figure together we make one whole teacher!

Usually upright, but sometimes if I'm a little tired I slouch a bit.

Never have gone completly horizontal, however. :)

I had to choose "other", because I am just a member at Salem. I they wanted me to sweep and mop, I would be their janitor. LOL

Teaching/Ruling Elder or Senior Pastor, either way you say it, I am a servant of the Lord who finds great joy in preaching the gospel and serving my Savior through the local church.

    Deacon.

And my main thing to the other deacons and to the other members is simple:
Deacons are NOT sacred cows. Deacons are SERVANTS.

We had a few in the past that thought they were the bosses.....

Let's see, bus captain, helping in Middle School Department, plus AWANA leader - plus the fact I consider my being a captain a ministry in how I'm ministered to our riders. I'd say teacher fits best, just waiting now to see where God calls me.

I moved fairly recently. In my last church I was a Deacon, Adult Sunday School teacher, member of the choir, and served on two Pulpit Committees. I also was a lay preacher mainly at retirement homes.
