I have heard that mentioned. Do many here post there?
I have been looking for something like that, more reformed. I do post on a reformed site a lot but it is more devoted to politics from a reformed perspective.
I would prefer deeper discussion here on the Baptist Board though.
We as baptists need to get beyond the petty.

It's a good board. I'll probably be seeing you over there from time to time. I'm not registered yet but will soon.

But if you think there's not petty bickering over there, you might be surprised. Wait till you see the Van Tillians and the Clarkians square off over scripturalism! I love the names those highly educated theologians call each other.

    Oh be warned....

I am a puritan boarder.... be carefull, these baptist behave when in discussion, puritan board is often gloves off discussion. It is deep, but different, they are paedo baptists, regulative worship, and serious about the holieness of God. I feel I am a staunch conservative here, there I feel like a flaming liberal.

I have lurked there for years. There are many great discussions.
Others simply amaze me. Such as how many ways there are to argue that acapella exclusive psalmody is it, and that "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" mean actually, "psalms, psalms, and psalms". They are a great group, but they have a list of pet topics that they disagree strongly on too.
There was a major split there not so long ago on whether or not an Arminian could be a Christian. And if a Calvinist could be a Christian who even thought there was possibly such a thing as an Arminian Christian.
Some took the approach that current Arminians are Christians because they are confused and ignorant, not understanding theology. But that Arminianism itself denies the Gospel.
To many of them, 4.5 out of 5 equals Arminian.

I haven't seen any of that yet but I am new and have not read that many threads yet.
To be honest, I was quite impressed at how civil they were and honest in their discussion. I didn't see any ad hominem.
BUt like I said, I haven't all that many posts yet. Perhaps I will see what you mean later.

I used to be there, got tossed, because I dared to say I wasn't a full bore 5 pointer, board owner just said, "Sorry, I don't feel like extending grace to you anymore..." and poof! my posting privileges were revoked.

They're very legalistic over there. I'd be very careful about joining, they want to know your personal information. I like my Privacy, I don't think people need to know where I live and go to Church.

    Anyways, my 2 cents.

Yes, I think that is a good idea actually.
I like the lack of anonymity.
Most websites are so anonymous people don't think they have to behave like they normally would.

XF , so you were dishonest over on the PB ? Did you initially say that you agreed with the 1689 Confession Of Faith and later changed your mind ? Or did you claim to adhere to it just to get on the forum regardless ?
