I got this in my emial a few years ago, and I hope I get this right.
But it's how to find your Star Wars name.
Take your first name, and take off the first two letters and add them to the end of your name...

    katie/ tieka

unusual, but we all had fun with it. Looks even more star wars like with my real name though.

Clever comentary on the state of biblical translations today. That was a great article, funny, ironic, with interesting christian twists. The author did a super job.

Hi, [IMG] I'm Maggie, and I am a sci-fi geek. I admit it, I wear it as a badge of honor. I wear my light saber to the grocery store (okay, I only did it once, but by golly I was proud ;) )

I hang out on geeky Sci-fi message boards that discuss T-pol's non-vulcan characteristics and speculate that maybe she is a Romulan spy. I watch Far Scape and Star Gate with the same rapture some folks save for football games. During sweeps months like November and February, I'm worthless to the family during primetime. :D [IMG] It's good to know I'm not alone here on the Baptist Board. [IMG]

That's funny Katie, or should I say Tieka. I've read this before and had a good time with it. It works even better if you use first and middle names, or first and last names.

Maggie May = GGiema Aym; Cool eh? I think I like Giemag Aym even better.

There's a great book about the philosophy of Star Trek called "Is Data Human?" My college advisor did a lecture about transporting - "Would It Still Be Me?" - that was all about what gets transported, and deals with the location of the soul and that sort of stuff.

Hey Stubborn Kelly, I haven't read that one yet. One of my favorites is "The Metaphysics of Star Trek" by Richard Hanley. It only includes eps through the first couple of seasons of DS9. It does a lovely job of pondering TNG and OST though. Very thoughful, and funny!! I laughed through all the parts that weren't making me hold 15 concepts in my brain at once (ouch!). It was tough reading, but good. Thanks for the book recommendation. I'll keep an eye out for it on half.com.

Felluz, we all know that Star Trek would just be another worthless TV show if Star Wars wasn't a big movie.

"That boy is our last hope..."

    "No, there is another..."

"Search your feelings. You know it to be true. Join me and together we will rule the galaxy as father and son."
