This past week I joined a group of men in Brownsville, Texas. Hurricane Dolly left much destruction in its path and left many people with a need. Our chainsaw crew cut up and moved fallen trees for people who were unable to do the work for themselves, completely free of charge. In the process of ministering to this social need, we also shared the hope of Jesus. We distributed boxes of gospel literature, prayed with numerous people, and even had the opportunity to witness several people accept the salvation of Jesus Christ. We referred all of the contacts back to a local church. Social Gospel - we used a social opportunity to gain an evangelical opportunity. Not one person we ministered to will be able to stand in the day of judgment and accuse us of not telling them about Jesus.
