The state of the church today...

    Here are some quotes and obversvations from Theodore Epp from 1968. If this was true almost 40 years ago just think how true it is today.

    In regard to our churches he says:

    "It is not that of mere strategy, different methods, attractive advertising or exciting prizes, but thte power of God operating through His people."

    "The power of God itself needs to be in the messages that are preached in order to reach the hearts of men."

    Oh how we need to see a sweeping of the power of God Almighty in the hearts of his people today!!!

    And may it begin in my own heart!

    Just some things to chew on in light of all the church fads, new methods, home giveaways, Harley giveaways, cash giveaways, television giveaways, all the gimics and shows that are put on inside our churches today.

    Just a few thoughts added

    1) The church is not guilty of insomnia!! Its been fast asleep for years!

    2) When Jesus called Lazarus forth from the grave---Lazarus obeyed!!! Jesus is still calling modern day Lazarus---but modern day Lazarus is not obeying!!!

    3) Sundays at 12 Noon seems to be the Dawn of the Dead!!
