The truth about the ACLU

    The Reverend Heist stated in a speech to an audience of high school and junior college students in Pasadena that "the Constitution of the United States is outmoded, outdated, and impotent." (One of the stated goals of the ACLU is to preserve the Constitution.)

    What a laugh. Referencing a document published in 1961 that references documents from the 1940's and 1950's is historically interesting, but certainly not credible in addressing the world today. I guess some have not noticed but the world has changed since 1961 in so many ways.

    What in the world was the intent of the OP?

    It is out dated because we have not been governed by the Constitution at least since the Lincoln Revolution. We are governed by secret signing statements and secret executive orders.
