    Have you tried Google Moon??

    http://moon.google.com/

Try out the zoom feature to see a close up of the moon's surface.

Make sure you zoom ALL the way in for the best moon details.

The pictures on Google earth are likely 3-4 years old, maybe 5.

About two years ago, there was another website which had these pictures (although it lacked the ability to "tilt" the view as the Google one does). I printed up a couple of interest, and then read that the pictures were no newer than about the year 2000.

I went to the pictures I'd printed, and sure enough, there were landscape details to my dad's house that were changed in the year 2002, that were NOT present in the pictures. Therefore, I knew that the pictures had to be older than that.

The present pictures on Google Earth are more than 1-1/2 or 2 years old, maybe as much as 4 or 5 years. I'm guessing they might be the same ones I saw 2 years ago.

I have been using the google earth thing for about a week now and absolutely love it. Got my dh hooked on it too.

I know TND mentioned that the satelite pics are old but I found my brother's house and the completed water tower directly across from his street and the water tower was finished this year. I think the age of all the sat pics vary from area to area. I know the pic of my road shows no development at all and I can surely attest that I am sitting in my fully developed living room. Old pics for sure.

Not all areas are clearly defined either.

    Still pretty neat.

    That's a scary thought.

Whats really scary is, if we can see this much, what can the ubiquitous "they" see?

"They" can see whatever "They" want to see.
