Wasn't it all over the BB about a year or so ago that she became a Christian  I can't see how any Christian could take part in a project like that...

Quote from the article: "Will & Grace, which also stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing and Megan Mullally, is in its eighth and final season."

Pete, she has since "found" herself in Jewish mysticism, Kabalah (sp.?), and now she is dabbling in a certain sect of Hinduism. That "red dot", the third eye that supposedly protects your family from the "evil eye", is a trend now in Hollywood.

I do not personally believe that she was ever truly saved. Not at all.

Wasn't she a member of a Baptist church when she was younger, when she first got into her singing career? Sad indeed, if it was so. Think of what she could've done with her life and talents for the glory of God if she had been saved.

I doubt you have seen it all or heard it all, there have been and will be much more to come and I have heard and seen worse. As for someone saying something "stupid" like God may use the show to bring her to the Lord. WHo knows??? What or who God can use to bring someone to the Lord.
I don't feel stupid for saying that.
We account for every word that comes out of our mouth..... or type.

This is the same girl that gave Madonna an open-mouth kiss at the MTV Music Awards a couple of years ago. It doesn't surprise me in the least that she's appearing on one of the most vile shows ever produced.

That's the first I've heard of it being a new trend. However, the "dot" you're referring to is a bindi. Spiritually, depending on one's faith beliefs, it represents anything from the eye of Shiva to the soul. While originating from Hindu culture, it is on exclusively Hindu. Christian women in India wear bindis (as do nonreligious women), since in this contemporary age, they are mostly a secular decoration, typically a piece of jewelry. No self respecting Indian woman would ever wear a bindi that does not match her bracelets. In antiquity, only married women wore them (the original spiritual purpose was one of protection of the marriage); but today, unmarried women often wear them as well.

BTW, just so I can attest to my knowlege on the topic, my wife is part Indian. In fact, she wore a bindi with her wedding dress, that matched her bangles. If memory serves, she had 40, and boy were her arms tired!!!! Most of our female friends at the wedding, all of whom are Christian, wore bindis, bangles, and salwar kameses (traditional attire form Indian women). Most of the men wore Starfleet uniforms, the traditional attire of male geeks worldwide.

The onyl reason I mention this is because we should not presume that anyone who wears a bindi is guilty of dabbling in the occult. Such an assumption would demonstrate ignorance on our part.
We can't judge with any assuredness. Personally, I think she probably was, but is prodigal. I'd judge her more harshly, but I myself was the chief of prodigals at one time. Dont' be surprised if, one day, she turns completely and demonstrates genuine faith. It may be 20 years, or more, before that happens, but it won't surprise me if it does happen one day. Until then, she needs our sincere prayers (not our smug chastisement).
I though for sure that "Cop Rock" was the most vile show ever produced.
Interestingly, when she was a young teen (in the MMC days), a christian music producer chose to not sign her, citing that her breasts were too big. That rather silly reason lead to her following a secular music career, and likely to her current path of self destruction.

I read that about the Hollywood trend somewhere today and I can't find it. So, until I can find that link that I was reading....I won't belabor that issue.

I understand what you are saying about not making rash judgements and I agree. Yet, Britney was in a Hindu temple in Malibu today or yesterday having her son blessed by Hindu deities. I would call that dabbling.

Actually, that was Jessica Simpson. I saw a television special about her life and they spoke about this. But you're right about one thing, it is a silly reason not to sign someone on to sing Christian music. My daughter has a womanly figure, but God has blessed her with wonderful singing talent. I would hate for someone to refuse her a music contract (not that I'd want her to have one necessarily) based on her bodily proportions.

I personally believe it is another attempt of Hellywood at making fun of the Christian faith and breaking the barriers between sin and the Christian.

    Cruci-fixins???

Do you think parents ever regret their decisions to allow/push their young kids to enter the entertainment industry?

Why do they not treat, let's say, Islam this way?
