"A Missouri man was arrested in connection with a heinous crime spree at a Catholic Supply chain store in St. Louis in which a female customer was fatally shot and at least one other woman was sexually assaulted, officials said.

"Thomas Bruce, 53, is now in police custody on 14 charges including first-degree murder, sodomy, kidnapping, burglary, tampering with evidence and armed criminal action, according to the St. Louis County prosecuting attorney.

"Bruce entered the store on the west side of St. Louis shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday posing as a customer, left to get a credit card and then returned, displayed a handgun and forced everyone into a back room, police said in a press release."

He is also considered the likely criminal murderer of two young girls in Delphi, Indiana, about two years ago. It is thought that Indiana State Police had fingerprints and DNA but those items did not match anything in the data base but they do match Bruce, who was recorded on the cell phone of one of his victims.

'Authorities in Indiana have noted "similarities" in the description of the suspect released immediately after the Catholic Supplies attack and the description of an unknown suspect wanted in the February 2017 slayings of Abigail "Abby" Williams, 13, and Liberty "Libby" Rose German, 14, in Delphi, Indiana, reports the St. Louis Post Dispatch.'

Many other crimes are also being tied allegedly to Bruce, who lived in the St. Louis area but had family in northern Indiana and northern Michigan, which would make the road through Delphi on his route.
